Callum Smith is the only Super-Middleweight opponent of Canelo whose gone on to win some meaningful fights. Everyone else either retired or lost the significant fights that they had.

And the funniest thing is that Avni Yildirim of all people is enjoying a decent 4 fight win streak right now, at 175, where he is now ranked 40 by the WBC. Of course hes not beaten anyone close to world level, and his ranking seems pathetically low, but he now holds the WBC international belt and could find himself in the top 15 after a few more wins.
I find it funny that Yildrim is the one whose career is going steady and somewhat upwards.

 

Just catching up on the main for this. How did Skull ever scam his way into a fight with Canelo? He’s ****ing awful. In fact, I never wanna see him again.

 

Bank deserves a shot against a top 10 guy next.

Shishkin kicked his ass. and I think he would have had a good shot against Clenelo.. being frozen out for years and years the least he deserved was a nice payday. But nah... this corrupt sport just decided to **** him over yet again.

 

Scull is decent, but not world level. IBF having the horrid rankings they do, they gave him a high spot and then he won a very controversial decision over Vladimir Shishkin and got the IBF belt.

 

That was one of the very worst robberies I've ever seen.
