The crazy thing is Chisora is the fresher fighter, if he can take Wilders bombs early on he most likely wins this as Wilder has looked terrible in his last couple of fights.

Assuming that since boxing is full of shenanigans isn't enough to make theories out of the ass without any proof just cause you think something is off.

There's a big difference between that and a boxing fan going "something isn't right there" and suggesting some form of corruption is taking place. FYI I think it's very unlikely that Chisora will take a dive in this one. That's not his m.o. and it's not like Wilder has the same sort of pull that he used to.

At his physical peak, Wilder would've dusted that British punching bag. Sadly, those days are long gone.

No, professional boxing isn't scripted theatrics like WWE.
That doesn't mean it isn't rigged.
They are two very different things.

Malik Scott definitely. That wasn't even a good dive, he made it obvious.

Why feel sorry for boxing? What's so pure and good about boxing business? It's shady.
I've been watching/following boxing for 40 years, and I used to believe it was all real and on the level, but it takes a lot of effort to keep that pretence up.
The thing is, we all KNOW boxing is rigged. You know it too. You know some boxers exist to lose. (There are boxers out there with 100 losses and they get more work than anyone). You know refereeing and judging is horrendously biased, favouring the 'house fighter'. For starters, and you know it's widespread. This is just accepted as 'normal'.

Any discussion of any future fight is "a theory out of the ass without proof".
If I speculate Chisora will be paid to lose, and you speculate Chisora will win by TKO in the mid-rounds, and another guy speculates the fight will be cancelled because someone will get injured in training, it's all theory 'with no proof'.
This whole forum is people speculating, guessing future events.

This is not hostile but why do you think Chisora will take a dive? He never has before and he's a very wealthy man, with pride as a fighter. Wilder isn't a major commercial entity anymore, with one-sided losses to Parker and Zhang. If Wilder had got past Parker, Wilder vs Joshua would have been a big commercial fight, but it didn't happen. Likewise, if Joshua had beat Usyk in their rematch, Fury-Joshua would have been huge, yet it wasn't rigged. Who is going to pay Chisora millions to fall on the floor? Why would he do it when he knows he can get another big fight after Wilder if he wants it?

Speculation about someone taking a dive because he was paid off isn't the same as predicting a fight my guy. It shows conspiratorial thinking right off the bat even if you don't even know the result, let alone have any proof. It also requires certain bias f.e. Wilder can't win, so if Chisora loses, he taken a dive. Or "powers that be" want Usyk to face Wilder, so they will pay Chisora off. It's ridiculous. The same category as Wilder's imaginary conspiracy for Fury to win.

    Exactly...

"There's lots of shenanigans" doesn't mean "everything is shenanigans".

For all the odd and dodgy things that do go on, boxing is not scripted, it's not WWE...

Yes, there are times that the playing field is deliberately uneven - and obvious undeniable reasons alongside suspected/probable ones... So having huge rings favours runners, for example, is an obvious and undeniable adjustment to suit one fighter - judging on the other hand is sometimes subtle but plausible enough not always obvious enough to be clear corruption (even when the result is wrong), whilst others it's so blatant and ridiculous that it's almost completely undeniable.

But does the fact we sometimes see obviously biased judging (the ridiculous card in Fury-Wilder 1 is a good example) that it'll definitely be the case for every fight? No.
Does it mean it'll always be the case for that fighter to have a judge in the tank? Not necessarily.

Heck, dives are a thing too - there will always be speculation that someone's been paid to take a dive, but sometimes it might just be that they're scared, expect to lose and figure it's safer to take the cowards way out...
I think most would agree that there's a high probability that Scott dived against Wilder, for example - but why? We'll probably never know... And does that mean every other Wilder opponent has dived? Definitely not - it doesn't necessarily even suggest that ANY of them have.

The idea that Chisora is going to end a career of taking punishment and fighting to the bitter end... By taking a dive against an opponent he's likely to beat?!
I suppose it's technically not impossible, but it's so spectacularly unlikely that I'd want to see SERIOUS evidence before I'd believe it.

    Genuine question...

Where do you think Chisora would go on Wilder's resume, if Wilder somehow finds a way to win?

And where would he have gone if prime Wilder had beaten him 6-7 years ago?

For me - in Wilder's prime it's undeniably top 2, with strong arguments for being his best win if he'd managed it.
Now... I think Wilder's performance levels have dropped more than Chisoras, so even though 38 year old Ortiz would probably have beaten Chisora now, it'd be a greater achievement in many ways for Wilder now to beat him without the physical advantages he had over Ortiz as a result of the Cubans age and heart condition.

I said it in the my first post in this thread:
"I think Chisora will be paid to lose.
    Usyk wants Wilder."

Usyk wants Wilder. Usyk has made it very clear he wants Wilder. Wilder has no credibility as a challenger right now, but if Wilder can get the WIN against Chisora (not necessarily a KO even), it makes the Usyk-Wilder fight credible and BIG it it happens a few months later.
    Wilder chose this fight.

The fact that we can name boxing matches in the past haven't been rigged to set up big fights, and those big fights have fallen through because of that, doesn't really make an argument against it. It just means it might not be rigged, which is obvious too. Both are possible.

I hear a lot about Chisora being "too proud" but he has 13 losses on his record and he walks into punches all night. He doesn't mind getting hit, and I can't remember the last time he seemed upset about losing.

I think it happens all the time. Boxers or judges or referees are hired with an agenda to produce the pre-determined desired result. It happens a lot. That's just professional boxing.

I'm not saying Wilder can't beat Chisora "on the level". I think he can, perhaps, or perhaps not. But I think the promotional agenda, the motivation, is really to get Wilder a "WIN" and one last shot at Usyk. And Chisora's at the end of the line too.

It's not conspiracy, it is just business as usual.
