Prime v Prime at 135 would've been huge.

100% goes the distance, that's about all I'd predict.

The other great tragedy of the Haney robbery is that Lomachenko would have absolutely fought Shakur next for all the lightweight belts. TopRank gets that fight done on ESPN.

Instead Haney immediately dropped all the belts and went off to 140.

Yep and Loma likely would've had back to back victory's over Haney and Shakur. They robbed the man of an even greater legacy.

Shakur is quite a bit better than Lomachenko. The butthurt runs deep around here.

Whitaker struggled more in his career than Shakur has so far. I don't really think Whitaker was better.

Shakur, too much size and skill to overcome. Shakur is way better than Haney who is easy to hit. That being said Lomas style will be way harder than Teo. His angles and creativity will dissect Shakurs defense at times.

You and I are in half agreement, and that much alone is rare. We agree that Shakur is a level above Loma.

He's no Whitaker though. Or at least, IF HE IS, he has more to prove before that comparison can be made.

Whitaker had a lot more pop than Shakur. Not that Whitaker was a murderous puncher himself, but his shots carried more venom than Stevenson's. He also had a much higher workrate.

Whitaker would have also shut out Teo, but the difference is Teo would have taken more of a physical beating from Pea.

Shakur, admittedly, has two things over Whitaker -- he's taller/rangier and he's more fast twitchy. Well, Shakur also trains harder and lives a clean, coke-free life, so I guess that's a third thing he has over Whitaker.

But in Whitaker, we're talking about a top 15 ATG. Shakur has several more years of proving before that comparison can be made.

With Loma though, its already apparent Shakur is better. Loma's resume is a joke.

shakur would have beaten loma, just like garcia would have. if it makes anyone feel better about that by saying he was small for 135, ok, he still would have lost. thats the bottom line.

Same problems of being too small for 135 but with a far more technical skilled opponent compared Teo and a guy that virtually has no defensive flaws compared to Haney who as we have seen has many

Loma's undoing was the higher weight classes. 126-130 was his sweet spot.

Sweet spot against who though??? A 122 pounder in Rigo? Walters? Sosa? Martinez?

The cope is real. His fans wanted so badly for Loma to be some Roy or Floyd level fighter... he just wasnt. It's not about size. He had limitations.

Well, yeah, he was in some ways a victim of being in a weak division. If 126 - 130 was strong he wouldn't have needed to go up in weight. I'm not a huge fan or hater, trying to be objective here.

Nah, he was a small guy in one of the most popular weight bully divisions, to deny that is to deny reality.

Adrien Broner is the classic example of how weight bullying is real - and guess what divisions he was most sensational in?

Yes Loma’s resume leaves something to be desired, but through no fault of his own, similar to Inoue.

With that said, you’re right, he was not a Floyd or Roy level fighter….and theres no reason to believe Shakur is either, so far.

Shakur would toy with Loma like a cat with a mouse and wouldn’t lose even a single round.
