It’s not about knowledge or experience , commentating is about communication

Tarver is a good broadcaster tho, I always liked him. He is good at play-by-play but not so much at color commentary.

George Foreman. Lennox Lewis. Love George but he said so much obvious stuff or nonsense.

Spencer Fearon. A guy who has certain bias and doesn’t really try to hide it, let’s just say.

I think some former fighter broadcaster, announcer, analysts etc have their niches

I don't like Tim Bradley as an announcer but I like his articles on ESPN

I like SergioMora better on the on the Mannix-Mora podcast than as a ringside commentator

I saw Tarver mentioned, I thought he was pretty good on SHO and is still good on his YT channel. (I don't watch it religiously)

I saw Malik Scott on this thread, I thought his break down on Ring Mags YT channel was pretty good for Stevenson-Lopez

I am not really a fan of Sugar Ray Leonard's commentary and Ray Mancini who I respect as a fighter was not the best either

Lennox Lewis was prone to making gaffes but I thought when he called major heavyweight fights his analysis and insight was interesting to me
