Its insane. Quietly winning fights far removed from his prime

Controversial fight really. Arlovski did pretty good in that fight if you take away the knockdown that came after the round. Both had career resurgences funnily enough after that fight and got title fights/title eliminators in the UFC.

Hes on a really neat, little winning streak, all of them T/KO wins. And hes been really active, this being his 4th fight in the last 12 months.
Not bad for a man his age, roids or not. Its a miracle that hes winning at all.

Lol, I actually think this should be banned. Its a ridiculous sport, and there is a damn good reason boxing moved on from bareknuckle in the first place.

The amount of knockdowns in every event is staggering. All of the top guys are rejects from other sports, and now their heavyweight champ is a 47 year old who had his chin cracked decades ago.
And then there are all of the hand injuries and face cuts.

I can’t believe people were picking Rothwell to crush Arlovski

It’s actually insane how long Arlovski has been fighting

How would boxing's top guy if they move to bare knuckle tomorrow? Guys like Usyk, Opetaia, Crawford, Bivol Beterbiev...

I wouldn't advocate banning it, but it should rightfully be regarded as the degraded version of the the fine sport of boxing that most seem to think it is.

The skill level appears to be less than the kind of C-level journeyman fight you might see on some marginal boxing telecast, and they try to make up for this with WWE style razamataz.

    It's pathetic, really.

    Nah, ban it.

No one in that sport will be capable of having a long career due to the unavoidable hand injuries alone. This would be a different story if the combatants adopted a more bare knuckle friendly style, but they wont. Why is that? Because the sport is a draw for veteran combat sport athletes who are the tail end of their careers. The guys will come in with a more modern style as they do not have a need for a prolonged career, and this gives them the edge. So, anyone young who is interested in BKFC will have to fight as do other modern strikers.

I would agree with you if the sport was different, if it was not so predatory. But bare knuckle made its comeback a decade ago and what do we have to show for it? Only old, washed up guys fighting for one last shot at making money.

Its absolutely ridiculous that soccer kicks are banned in MMA, yet BKFC sees over 20 knockdowns every event and we have to act as if this is not a major cause for concern.
Ban this trash before people start dying, and ban slap fighting too. A ridiculous "sport" where people already have died.

It's talent pool is lacking because 1) its fairly new and 2) there's not enough money in it yet to entice more talented prime combat athletes to try their hand out at it. The risks don't outweigh the rewards. you get sliced up badly in BKB.

Rules could be modified a bit and id like to see a better talent pool, but I hope it continues to grow. It's got a lot of potential.
