He withered on the vine, much like Dychko.

Dmitry Pirog would have been an ATG if it wasnt for the injuries.

Bad promotion, long periods of inactivity and meaningless opposition ruined the pro careers of many of those fighters. Some were not paid enough in the pro ranks to even make a living.

Check their records - often a long period of inactivity comes before a bad loss.

The Klitschkos were fortunate enough to have a promoter who kept them active until they became established as heavyweight contenders, as were Povetkin, Chagaev and Valuev.

Dimitrenko wasn't exceptionally talented, had the height and reach but lacked toughness and heart.

At one time I thought Volodymyr Vyrchys had potential though. He had a close fight with Chagaev, who had more amateur fights. Vyrchys had world-class power, but he wasn't quite fast enough.

Asian busts are something of a hobby of mine. My search history would indicate.

Had a lot of hopes for Alexei Egorov. I thought he might be the guy at cruiser once Usyk leaves. That didn't workout.

And what the hell is Bek the Bully up to? Looks like he's been letting Fishnets waste away his prime years.

I don't think until recently a fighter could be a bust from this part of the world as no one was expected to succeed at the pros. Getting a title shot was too hard. Even for Olympians. I think a bust is someone who was proven not to be a top fighter in the Ring not someone whose undefeated who fails at politicking for oppurtunities.

Povetkin was in Rings top 10 13 years. I don't count the silly regular title but he also won the interim belt so hes a champion regardless. He beat 5 of Wlads title defenses. Vitali beat one. Povetkin was a true great.

HW is frozen not getting a title shot in this era doesn't make a fighter a bust because there is nothing they could have done to change that. Wlad and Muhammad Ali might have been aged out in todays HW division. Muslim and Tischenko(PEDs aside) won titles at Bridgerweight and if they didn't do that they'd be like Jalolov just marinating as Usyk ponders whether hes going to fight Wilder, Chisora or Andy Ruiz.

He is gonna fight on the Barrios-Garcia card. He is the mandatory for the WBA belt, but Resendiz will fight someone like Munguia or Berlanga next, so he still has to wait for the shot. Which is pretty lame.

As we saw pretty recently, Ivan Dychko proved to be a complete hype job.
