    Mayweather loss
    Bivol loss
    Crawford loss
GGG Got a win and maybe 2 in his fights. He was robbed.

Canelo is good but his record is deceiving.

    Lara beat him clear.

Hes a top 20 Mexican fighter all time. Any higher is disrespectful to Mexican boxing.

So that's 5 or 6 genuine losses that he's had in his career.

not convinced about Lara (been awhile but I think I was with Canelo here), but as a rank hobbyist, bet i could name 10 greater Mexicans. richer? no. more famous? no. better fighters? yeah

Do we rate one by their losses or by their wins?

The average score from 89 media members scorecards was 114-114. Alvarez won on 34 scorecards, Lara won on 30, and the remaining 25 were scored a draw.

    Not clear at all, lol.

    He's not. I don't see anyone saying he's a top ATG.

He is overrated and a piece of **** human being. His fake persona is nauseating (i.e., like kneeling down after knocking out Amir Khan). As if he didn't know that he was going to shatter that glass jaw...give me a break. Props to Khan for taking that fight though.

However, looking at his career in a nonbiased manner, he beat the guys who he was supposed to beat which makes him look better to the casual fan. Did he ever beat an all-time great, or even someone who he was not heavily favored to win against, without the help of the judges? No.

I enjoyed watching his cherry-pick gone wrong (i.e., Crawford) and blow up in his face. Crawford embarrassed him by going toe-to-toe when it mattered and outfought him for 12 rounds.

Overrated in what way? I don’t see people rating him absurdly high or anything like that.

None of those means he's overrated. He lost to damn good boxers. Had he some controversial wins over lesser beings, maybe you have a point. But overrated? No. And I'm one called a canlelo hater by his fanboys.

Good post. I had Canelo very close. I did feel Lara was up near the last few rounds, but gave those up to an eventual loss.

A fighter with no loses in his career will mostly have been tip-toin' through the Tulips, if you know what I mean.

Respect to Floyd though, inside and outside of the ring, he played a perfect game.

How many world class fighters can you name who have even fought 5 or 6 legitimately dangerous fighters?

Props to Canelo for stepping up to every challenge.

I wish more fighters had nards like him.

Fighters fight, that's what they do.

Funk the 0's and step up.

GGG beat his ass twice. Canelo fought well against him but GGG was robbed blind.
