This thread is rather disrespectful toward a champion who has achieved so much success in his career.

Your entire posting history is hating on Usyk..

    Are you OK??

The level of hate and obsession you have towards the greatest fighter of this generation, is disturbing to watch.

Usyk fought HW's that had massive size advantages over him six times. He fought HW's will massive power advantages over him four times. And Fury also hits harder too.

Bowe would never dare do anything like that.

Also Usyk would beat Bowe easily. Bowe is another mong in the Murican local division of boxing pretending to be a global sport.

Usyk is 6'3 he might be a point fighter but hes not small. A chin advantage is much more important in HW boxing then a power advantage. The hardest hitter among any generation is rarely the most successful of the bunch.

For a fat 6'9 guy Fury doesn't hit hard.. Chisoras power is overrated as hell. If he was 200 pounds he'd have no power. Hes 250 and scores a KD every once and awhile. Joshua and Dubois fine. But beating 2 guys a few inches taller who hit much harder isn't as special or unprecedented as Usyks fans make it out to be.

Bowe is 6'5. Big guys who hit much harder then him really weren't on the menu. Besides Lennox that whole era of HWs was smaller.

You’d be the biggest Bowe fan ever if he was an EE fighter called “Dmitry Dmitryevich”.

    Boooh! Shame!

Posting a topic that is only meant to steer the discussion in a negative manner, so everyone loses (bowe, usyk, boxing, participants) is bs.

It is also not engaging with fellow forum users on an eye level, but manipulative.

Honestly if everyone keeps pretending Usyk has an all time resume with 8 HW fights and "has nothing left to prove and has earned the right to fight whatever he wants after such an amazing unprecedented career" they are inviting the negativty because people are going to correct that. I wasn't that present online at the time but I seem to remember Andre Ward and Calzaghe fans being honest about what their fighter accomplished. And not trying to gaslight everyone into thinking they had "nothing left to prove".

8 HW fights and 24 fights is NOT a long career.

You can think Dubois, Joshua and Fury are three great opponents but its three opponents.

It's probably just the zeitgeist. Fury and joshua fans had similar ways of arguing. Probably mayweather's late career and media presence has something to do with it?

And my criticism isn't against negativity. It is against framing a discussion where people are meant to put bowe and usyk against each other in a contest for who is worse.

Both are accomplished champions and in the context of recent boxing history usyk (apart from the questionable last period now) is very much the opposite.

If the thread title was 'usyk is overrated' or something honest like that, it's fine. But people won't engage a lot with that. Because everyone has their opinion and how much is there to say after a year or so of discussions?

So this title is meant to throw poison in the mix and not in an honest way but by making a comparison that is not the actual interest. I experience that as manipulation and strongly disagree with this approach.

If you're in a community don't taint it. If you and your friends want to swim in a pool, don't urinate in it...

I'm not sure if you know this, but he spent half his career at cruiser.

Even at heavy, he has nothing left to prove. He beat both of the best heavies of the post-Klitschko era twice each, and in Dubois, very arguably the fourth best after Fury, Joshua and himself. He accomplished more in those 8 fights than guys like Holmes did in 20 defenses, and a guy like Bowe could do in three lifetimes.

Its 24 fights his career is still super short. The 8 fights at HW really drive that point home but if we count his whole career as a HW career it is still a super short boxing career. Any other legend with 24 fights no one would dispute that. Beterbievs career is 2/3s title fights and no matter how highly one rates Beterbiev they have no problem admitting he didn't have a long career.

"He accomplished more in those 8 fights than guys like Holmes did in 20 defenses, and a guy like Bowe could do in three lifetimes".

I don't know what to say to this. You're ****ing with me right? You can't actually believe that.

Holmes had a bunch of title fights but only beat top 10 contenders. Overall resume Usyk isn't far behind him. Beating a bunch of bums doesn't increase your greatness no matter how many you beat. Bowe beat like 4 or 5 ranked heavyweights and never beat the best of his generation, Usyk had surpassed him when he beat Fury, the cruiserweight resume does count for something

Short doesn't mean anything. He was undisputed at two weight divisions. He beat the right guys. And no, I said facts. Holmes never did what every great champion before and after did by unifying the belts. HE CONTRIBUTED TO TITLE PROLIFERATION quite disgracefully.

Usyk will go down as having beat every important fighter in front of him, and no, no one will care that he didn''t fight the Zhangs, Hrgovics and Joyces, because they don't matter.

there is a different standard nowadays. Previously, longevity, consistency and success against varying opponents (the good, bad and ugly) was seen as dominating the division.

now if you only beat the guy who did the above, your seen as greater.

It’s like Crawford beating Canelo may have won him the belts, but you can’t honestly say he’s the best smw in the world with no opponents who can match him.

or like historically, people didn’t think Leon spinks was better than Ali and had nothing left to prove, nowadays it would be different
