Tyson Fury: "Usyk officially won the fights, but I've still got my father"

Usyk has already lost the WBO belt. Most definitely soon he will lose the WBC belt as well, due to inactivity. I think Fury vs winner of Wardley/Dubois will be for WBO & WBC belts. And Fury will probably win those belts.

Thus, they will have 2 belts each. It will be again Usyk begging Fury for the 3rd fight, because Fury is still more popular than Usyk.

 

Not sure how that fight picks up Kabayel's interim, but okay...

So Fury's fighting Makh in April - best case he fights the winner of Wardley/Dubois in December... IF there's no rematch clauses and the winner wants to fight again so soon.
Then IF he wins (which depends how declined he is) and IF there's no rematch clause there...

Absolute best case Fury is ready for Usyk again about May 2027.


Usyk, realistically, probably doesn't fulfil his mandatory to fight Kabayel until 2027 - if he takes his circus bout as expected, he probably won't fight again this year... He'll then probably not be interested in fighting again until 2028, if at all.

Will Usyk at 41 be that bothered about regaining belts he already held and chose to let go? Who knows...
It's entirely possible that Fury will have to beg him not to retire - in order to get his third loss to the cat.

Fury might have a few more fans, though I'm not sure about that - Usyk certainly has far less in the dislike camp.

 

Well, people were very eager to see the dumb "AJ vs Paul" fight, which paid each fighter $50M. It means people are not interested in seeing the most skilled boxers fighting each other, they want to see the most popular ones.

I'm sure Paul vs Fury would draw much more audience than Usyk vs Bivol, for example.

When Fury wins the WBC and WBO belts, Usyk will have no other choice to accept the 70/30 deal dictated by Fury again, where Fury will be paid 70%.

Usyk, although being the best boxer in the world, is not a superstar like Fury.

In that case, they just wanted to see Jake Paul get hurt - and they got what they paid for.

Probably - but for the same reasons as above, people want to see Jake get hurt and even Fury (who's never been a big puncher) has plenty of power to knock him out.

When's Fury fighting Kabayel?!

Nah - he'll have the choice of whether to fight or not... And I won't be too surprised if he decides it's not worth it - especially if Fury wants that kind of split.

Up to a point - he's a star because everyone knows he's the best, but he's not grown a cult of personality the way Fury has...

 

Usually when fighters get put down like Fury was, the ref doesn't count, they wave it off. Like I said after the fight, Fury was lucky he had that ref. But, let's be honest, Fury getting up after that and pressing the action and winning the rest of the round was impressive.

 

They may pay Kabayel step aside money and promise him to fight the winner of Fury vs Usyk.

 

Okay... But how's Fury getting the WBC (before Usyk) without fighting Kabayel?

Usyk has had every opportunity in the world to talk up another bout with Fury. Hasn't done it. In fact, he's specifically said he's going to have nothing to do with Fury because Fury was palling around with the IBA President who is a Putin stooge.

Besides, Fury can't actually put himself in a position to fight Usyk. He'd need a belt. So an old, fat, coke head who has to spend every training camp just losing enough weight so they don't have to roll him into the ring needs to beat Makhmudov and then beat whoever comes out ahead between Wardley/Dubois. Fat chance. Remember, this is Tyson Fury we're talking about here. This clown was terrified of taking legit fights back in his prime. That's how he ended up with Pianeta, Seferi, Wallin, and an MMA fighter on his resume while avoiding everyone in the Top 10. Now his chin is shot to pieces. Every time Usyk landed a left on him he was seeing stars. This dude's punch resistance is toast. But he's gonna take on a Wardley or a Dubois? If you believe that I've got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

Fury has no leverage anymore. No belt, been out the game too long, people are tired of his boring, same ol' clown show, and he actually can't risk fighting anyone legitimate. Plus, Fury's star power has always been overblown. Outside of the UK he's a non-entity. His PPV numbers have always been trash, especially compared to AJ. This fight is on Netflix and it won't get anywhere near Paul v. Tyson or Paul v. AJ.

Usyk is a real Christian, Fury is not. His constant disrespect for others, calling Usyk ugly, his lying tongue, his drug abuse, his bizarre behavior, and his claiming to be the greatest of all time is the polar opposite of what a Christian is supposed to be like. "He who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted". "He who hates his neighbor hates God".

 

Usyk drops the WBC belt. Kabayel withdraws from his WBC mandatory challenger position. WBC announces Wardley vs Furry as the title match for WBC belt.

 

In a world where the likes of Wallin, Gassiev, and Wilder still have die-hard fans, Fury is considered a superstar.

 

And you think that's going to happen?

I don't see Kabayel letting that go - he might be persuaded (I doubt it'd take much) to step aside as long as he can keep that interim title.
