Good detective work from LWW. I reckon he's on the money with the Flamingo as the opponent. The guy has some skills & hand speed. He's going to need them to keep Timmy off him.
Flamengo is good but one fight in 4 years? Oh well. No one can fault Timmy. Fought Fundora on 12 days notice and Murtza straight after that. He can be forgiven..
I think the fact that it's an undercard fight comes into it as well. It's Liam Paro & the Irishman's show. Timmy's fight will ensure there's plenty of extra interest without detracting from the main event.
What are everyone's thoughts on Jennings Tszyu dispute? Tim's loyal. I could be wrong but I can't see him not honouring a contract. Or his word.
I don't like this at all this Flamingo struggled with ancient Billy Dib who put on an academy award performance to get the DQ win and that was at lightweight. This is a waste of time for Tim he will execute this bloke quickly. Surely they could find somebody else?
Imagine the hype. They're at war because of changing of team and managers. Old lion against young lion. It would be the biggest fight ever in boxing. Who would Kostya go for? Who would the sister and mum go for? It should absolutely go ahead. Have the Easter bunny as the referee.
I think Tim's old management team should focus on the kid they are currently managing who drew 10,000 plus through the gate in Brisbane. Not trying to squeeze additional money out of Tim. Never go against the family.
When I saw the list of potential opponents on the Foxsports website last week the Flamingo was mentioned. I didn't repeat it here b/c I thought it was too left field. But his record is better than the guy who I wanted as the opponent (Andrew Hunt) so not that surprised to see them choose him. Be glad it's not Brock Jarvis.
Brock Jarvis was another Aussie hype Job who the boxing media nut hugged. Paro absolutely nailed him. So too Thurman. As he should.
Hunt also already had a fight lined up. He is a southpaw though so it would have been good prep if Spence is a targeted opponent.
I wouldn't want to see it LOL too messed up. I have sparred my brother several times over the years and can never bring myself to hit him hard especially to the head he is the same with me. Wrestling around and playing footy when younger we have smashed each other but head punching is different when it comes to family
