    Hi all. When is this Thing in London where Hearn is going to make big a announcement ?
    Talked about it last week to Kugs.

    How ‘big’ an announcement can Hearn make these days anyway?

    Domestically it seems like Warren controls a lot of the cards, and anything bigger than that would be announced by Turki and the Saudis.

    I've been thinking this for a while. Hearn had the UK domestic scene by the balls when he was with Sky. As soon as DAZN came sniffing, they gave him a war-chest to take on the world. their global ambition didn't quite materialize as they probably hoped though, yes people like Arum and Haymon were becoming a bit old and antiquated, but I don't think they anticipated Turki and Dana entering the market. I don't care if Hearn keeps saying he 'welcomes the challenge' and 'it's good for boxing'. You know deep down he's feeling threatened by them. Meanwhile, in the background Frank Warren has been a busy bee reclaiming the domestic scene. It's like musical chairs, with Warren, Turki and Dana all sitting on a nice comfy chair and Hearn is still dancing away.

    The last big Matchroom ‘announcement’ was them changing their logo so this one will probably be a release of a Skye Nicolson calendar or something.

    I'm sure that one of the nutjob posters on here who pretends to be a Matchroom employee was saying recently they were leaving and joining Netflix.

    Will DAZN even exist in 5 years? Surely can't sustain those mass year on year losses for much longer

    They were never going to Netflix, that was always nonsense. Big committal though when you’d presume Sky would welcome them back with open arms at this stage. Hearn has gone ‘all in’ with DAZN, and presumably is quite a decent shareholder in it so can’t really backtrack now.
