Makh and Sanchez aren't top tier opponents - in WBC terms they were the right steps on the ladder, but they're not the kind of opponents you'd throw up if you were actively WANTING to get rid of someone.

Sure, as of right now he's played the game and earned the shot - but when other posters are suggesting they might just drop him to get Fury into their belt, that just doesn't make sense when they've literally set out the timeline for enforcing his mandatory AFTER Fury confirmed his retirement was over.

This is exactly how I feel about that fight.

    Someone change Fury’s meds.

    It is weird

I’m coming back as AJ car accident made me realise how precious life is.

5 mins later. Mocking the fact Usyk dad died

Stop it. He was mocking Usyks fathers death. Usyk would 100% agree with him, anyone who's loved and lost their dad would agree with him, you would trade anything to get your dad back. What he said is so real. The hate you have for him is making you take his words out of context.

I think Fury is an absolute whopper but I think this is one of those rare occasions he's not meaning anything disrespectful or hurtful. I think what hes saying is lets get things into perspective I'm upset I lost the fights but its nothing compared to losing a father and Usyk would swap the belts if he could, thats how it comes across to me anyway.

I think all of you are quite naive. Which is what shitbirds like Fury prey upon.

If you're a decent person you just never bring up Usyk's dead father ever. Period. The only reason to bring him up is to dig at Usyk because you're such a ***** made POS that you can't just deal with the fact that the man beat you. Twice.

And even on the infinitesimal chance Fury wasn't trying to screw with Usyk, it's still a hilariously pathetic piece of cope from Fury. Well, I got my ass kicked twice, everyone thinks I'm a ****ing clown for arguing that I won when I clearly didn't, but it actually doesn't matter because I have my ******* father and Usyk doesn't have his own father. Therefore, I'm still winning! Actually, God loves me best!

Wardley wouldn't be able to fight for the WBC belt, as he is the WBO titleholder and is not rated by the organization. You also has number 1 rated Okolie.

Well, if money is involved, everything can be arranged. They can quickly rank Wardley and push Okie aside. Money talks.

If they didn't do it for Wlad, they won't do it for Wardley.

After watching it, I don’t really think he said it to take a dig at Usyk, he more sounded like an idiot struggling to verbalize that feels bad for him and it helps him appreciate what he has. This is all interpretation and no one can say they knew his motive - but it didn’t sound like what this thread had me expecting… It sounded bad and stupid, but I didn’t get a cheap shot / one up vibe from it.

Acting like he won them fights is wild though. Reminds me of Broner / Pacquiao.

I think the guys point is exactly that, Reiss went abnormally out of the standard practice to provide an opportunity to a hurt fighter.
This may be preferable by fans, but then apply it all the time.

also, jack reiss did state he made the decision to give fury more opportunity than normal as he felt it was “better for boxing”. This is not a referees job and he went above his pay grade.

I don’t think what fury said was that bad, or aimed at usyk. It could be taken that way but we are stretching a bit

Usyk will definitely want a third fight. Turki will make sure the money is there for him.

As for Fury, he beats Makh in April, fights the winning of Dubios/Wardley in August and takes on Kabayel in December. Usyk having fought a kickboxer takes another year off, so fight with Fury by mid 2027. So yeah, 18 months seems about right.

What a shambles the HW division has become.

The glass is half full with you and I actually kind of agree. Have always known Fury to be an arse but have never known him to be so brutal. That is the most spineless thing have ever heard him say. I'd like to think he meant it more in the way you suggested...hopefully at least

Okay, so who would they have matched him with, in your opinion, if the WBC were wanting to trip him up?
