I don't recall that era getting bashed much at all. Unless we're talking late 90's or something.

He beat bunch of nobodies, so it doesn't matter. And he could have been more dynamic than Chisora, but it doesn't make him a better fighter overall.

Early 90's was bashed so bad, people were saying Tyson was the best HW in the world even tho he was in prison and was waiting for him to go out and save the HW division. You had cruiser, LHW and 40 year old as champs, it wasn't viewed welll at all.

Resumes don't win fights, Mavrovic didn't lose to anyone that Chisora wouldn't have gotten destroyed by

Of course it doesn't, but since we don't have an actual fight between the two, we need to base a fighter's class of of their resumes, and Chisora is a class or two above Mavrović.

Nah Mavrovic talent is above European/Gatekeeper level he was undefeated and had a competitive fight with Lewis. Lewis smashed every European/British level fighter he faced.

The biggest tell has been Fury stunning Usyk with the uppercut in their first fight. It would be lights out if Lewis landed that against Usyk. I thik it would be a great fight, Id pick Lewis 6 out of 10 times.

I don't put too much in to fan hyperbole. Especially about whether or not Tyson was the best. And the 90's was a decade. Which part exactly are you referring to with the CW, LtHW, and 40yo? the 90's was still stacked with talent compared to today's HW division of non-active "contenders".

We have a former CW who is now the HW Champ. Who also happens to be just under 40. Isn't that exactly what you think made the 90s bad?

I was well in to boxing at that point. And I still can't recall anyone bashing the 90's HW. In fact, that's been considered the last good era by quite a bit.

Whatever way we chop up Usyk's heavyweight resume, it is nowhere near as good as some people on here would have you believe. Both Warren and Hearn have done a great job of elevating British heavyweights into fights way above their skill level. The fact that Dubois managed to land 2 Usyk paydays shows just how good a promoter Frank is. He was completely outclassed in every single minute of both fights; he had zero business being in there.

Joshua faired better, but after the Ruiz loss, there was clearly a mental block, multiple trainers, gunshy, opting to fight MMA guys and YouTubers rather than try to take back his crown. Ngannou almost beat Fury over 10 rounds and dropped him despite never having boxed professionally before; it's an important distinction. I wouldn't say "post-Bowe" would be a fair comparison. I also think the Golota that fought Bowe could beat Dubois, but unlike Dubois vs Miller, Golota was rightly DQ'd twice.

I'm not saying it'd be an easy night's work, far from it. Lennox is a caliber above anyone Usyk has beaten at HW, and yes, you could argue Usyk is above anyone Lewis beat, really, but I just think Lewis is too big, and his uppercut would land and have Usyk in trouble. It was often the best fighters that brought out the best in Lewis, and Usyk is definitely in that category. I'd go for Lewis on points, an 8-4 type of fight.

I would think Moorer Foreman and Rahman becoming champs reflect extremely poorly on the era as a whole.

That would be the equivalent of someone like Chisora becoming champ and it happened multiple times

Chisora is not better than Rahman and Foreman cmon man, Rahman was at least more technical than Chisora and probably hits harder, why is Rahman worse than someone like Andy Ruiz and Charles Martin. Moorer is the same size as Opetaia

Rahman was a one hit wonder, but Moorer was a high quality fighter who beat a prime Holyfield. The fact you used him as an example is amusing.

Rahman got knocked out 6 times (although the Tua stoppage was questionable), and twice by Oleg Maskaev.

    That's Chisora level, imo.

If you look at Lewis and Usyk standing next to each other there really isn't a big size difference. It might be because Lewis is now 60. Additionally, I don't know how easy Lewis would be able to land his uppercut on a southpaw. He's never fought one.

Chisora lost 13 times, and never beat or KO'd anyone on the level of Sanders. His draws with Tua and Toney are better than any controversial decisions Chisora has ever mustered up.

If you think Toney isn't that good then blame the Klitschko era...oh wait, we had multiple old ass contenders from the Klitschko era have success in this one like Povetkin, Pulev, Takam
