It wasn't just that fight where Cortez was involved in shenanigans with Floyd. Ricky Hatton was fighting both Floyd and Cortez the night they fought in Vegas so the thread title is accurate.

Is boxing corrupt because it seems the guys you dislike always get the breaks or the guys you like always get the short end of the stick? The question is, would you still think boxing is corrupt if your favorite boxers get all the breaks?

Spot on. It’s annoying because some refuse to accept corruption may be possible when it’s certain fighters but are adamant with others.

We knew Mayweather had power from earlier in his career when he had healthy hands and went for the KO, later in his career his hands gave him too much issues if he went for the KO.

He was a local. Vegas always takes care of the locals. It's a known thing. If you want to be a big time boxer in the US, you should probably move to Vegas.

That's why the very privileged Floyd Mayweather refused to fight outside Las Vegas for most of his career, he knew the crooked officials would be there to help if needed.

Mayweather is public enemy #1 on the forum. But the reality is, Floyd Mayweather is going down in history as one of the greatest of all time. In my opinion he's the best technical boxer ever. Whether you think his opponents were passed it, or the judges gifted him, just take a look at his resume. Look at the names on there. He beat them all.

He should have a L vs Castillo. But whatever. It’s boxing. One of the best ever. If he was DQd in the Judah fight it’d have been a joke of a DQ to people. Just stop

Floyd is a lot of things in life that aren’t great. But boxing? Boxing he was great.

And I bet Rigo fans feel the stoppage was good.

Just saying, corruption goes on more than people think.

Not denying corruption exists in boxing. Just asking if the corruption favors people's guy, do they still call out the corruption.

I went to two of Rigondeaux’s fights in Las Vegas

the one in Primm that ended in the first round was kinda shady..as if it was to keep Rigo’s 1st round KO streak intact.

I don’t really wanna argue about boxing being corrupt.
