This is more than a one fight deal. Benn has jumped ship from Matchroom and Hearn is seething!

 

Overrated quite simplistic slugger who has never won anything or beat anyone of any real consequence.

He's a smaller Fabio Wardley fit strong solid speed very game good fighter but with a worse resume and less P4P power than Wardley...so what's the big deal?

Yeah, he's made a bit of a name for himself acting like a silly little twat, but is he really going to draw big numbers in America on Paramount?

I don't care about his insta followers he's still not ''that'' big of a star even in the UK and he's not a special talent.

 

I don’t think that’s what they are doing here, everyone has been calling out Benn, he’s the hype boy in the game right now.
They all know he brings the money to the table, so they can get some big names that just want a pay day, I can see it being like Liv golf situation where you fight on zuffa and you lose your ranking with the alphabet organisations, this will make the fighters devalue the belts rather than it being zuffa themselves. It’s clear to see that the fighters are all about the money rather than the titles as all the champions already called out Connor instead of looking to unify.

He should. Benn proving more what a gronk he is a drug cheat who is now leaving the guy who stuck by him. Eddie actually went above and beyond to defend him making himself look bad in the process. I know none of us know the full story but Benn just seems like a real POS.

I don't know the details of Benn's deal, but to not even talk to Eddie is the stuff of cowards. At least confront him like a man and say you're leaving because of this and that.

Eddie might end up pitching in with the enemy yet, he's already well in with Turki and the sort of money they're offering Benn for a one fight and promo work would turn any fighter's head. Fence sitters will now jump aboard lest they miss out on those eight figure handshakes, it is human nature.

Let's not let the biased press determine our thinking, boxing needed this, it was more about the egos of administrative figures than it was about the fighters. And those figures are pissed that their meal tickets are disappearing.

They have milked those of us who love the sport also.

Benn is a bigger name than Opetaia in terms of global recognition, so he gives a lot of credibility to Zuffa and causes bigger names, as yet undecided, to really pause and think. The way I read it, Jai was signed on potential as per his oft stated goals, especially the HW part; but Benn was signed for what he brings.
