This guy is continually treated like a super star but he hasn't really done anything? He keeps on being pushed into the big stage and touted as the next fight for Stevenson or Garcia but there are much better fights out there. What am I missing here?

He dyed his hair blond to look like a dark skinned Eminem superfan and stood in a boxing right next to Usyk.

Aside from that be beat Chris Eubanks who looked like a mixture of a terminally ill human and crackhead rolled into one and he beat some alright Mexicans years back.

    So basically...I have zero clue.

Benn has been on pharmaceutical grade PEDs for years. That amount of chemical and hormonal changes he's undergone do not promote rational thought.

As for why he keeps being pushed onto the mainstream world stage See: Benn, Nigel.

He's got a profile in the same way Jake Paul has a profile, not as big, but a similar principle. it's nothing to do with boxing ability or getting to that position by merit. He has been slowly built up by Eddie Hearn for the last 10 years, I'm not Hearn's biggest fan, but I have to acknowledge how good he is at building profiles, really knows what he's doing on that front. Connor had the advantage of using his dad's name and cashing in on the old man's legendary rivalry with Eubank and that's about it. A combination of Nepotism and having a very good promoter. We all know he will get found out when he steps up. I have a feeling though he actually thinks his boxing ability is up there with Stevenson, Garcia Haney etc. To much strutting around in Louis Vuitton jump suits holding pet poodles that wear diamond incrusted tiaras. Hopefully he gets a lesson in humility sooner rather than later.

He's going to lose immediately. He sucks. Dana White is a fool.

This is the crux. People from my generation have nostalgia for fighters like his dad, so he's marketable. And boxing is a very historically-focused sport, so younger people also love the idea of the kids of past greats giving it a go. Of course, some don't too.

I don't entirely begrudge it, like a lot of kids he apparently wanted to go into the family business and did.

I don't think you're missing anything: you've got the measure of it IMO.

He has the high profile for the reasons already stated but he hasn't accomplished anything meaningful at the level that he's currently being marketed. What we have observed (in between him being banned for cheating) has been pretty unremarkable.

I think it'll be obvious he's out of his depth when he gets in there with somebody of real world level contention. Then the goose that is his father's shadow will be bled dry.

Hearn isn't really losing out imo and if Benn proves unprofitable for Dana then good. I personally find Dana White's interference in the sport to be unwelcome.

He's also not a very nice bloke IMO. All that anger, arrogance and mocking of a disabled bloke? Jog on.

    Show pony. Priveliged as well.

For the fans that prioritise the marketing side of boxing.

A nepo-baby who gained reasonable provenance knocking out featherfists whilst juiced to the gills. After been caught red handed on the juice, he was subject to a farcical campaign to exonerate him that somehow worked, despite the ridiculous evidence put in his defence, and largely due to the clout of his name and his promoter. After being "exonerated", he fought a fellow nepo-baby and made bank in a pair of low skilled bouts that were largely carried by the respective names of their fathers. After this, he decided to betray the promoter who sullied his own reputation by going along with with Benn's ridiculous defence to his doping charges.

Henn is being used as a pawn because Dana has an axe to grind with Hearn

As soon as Henn loses his value plummets and Dana and Turki have no use for him anymore

    Once he steps up
