Have either of the Klitschko’s beaten anyone in the HOF ?

And if not do you think one of their opponents may eventually get voted in there ? The only one I can think of who has a chance is MAYBE Chris Byrd.

 

HOF is museum with plenty of not that amazing fighters in it. They are also known to induct on pupularity first and foremost as it sells tickets.

You can question both fighters oposition but using the HOF to measure it would not be accurate. David Haye and Povetkin are better than loads of HWs in it.

 

Not questioning how good their opposition was. Just wondering. The HOF has plenty of people who don’t belong there and reversely there are plenty who aren’t in there who perhaps should be. But with over a hundred combined wins between them, many of which championship bouts it’s interesting that I can’t think of anyone in there

 

Perhaps they blocked some of the spots themselves. Who knows where Povo, Brock, Thompson, Byrd, Peter, and several others would be if they hadn't encountered the Klitschko brothers.

 

Well they might not be but this is the same clown organisation who doesn't have Chris Eubank Sr, Kalambay or Bomber Graham in their ranks. They aren't serious when it comes to boxing

Given prior generations the likes of Sanders, Rahman, Haye, Povetkin and Byrd should be there on achievement. Others might have got there if the Klit boys didn't dominate them so hard

And I'm not even a fan of either brother, I kind of always hoped they'd lose

 

Interested to know why you think Sanders should be in there? Corrie was great to watch, but he was flawed, quite chinny, and minus the Wlad upset, he didn't beat anyone of note.

 

Wlad beat Byrd, Rahman, Haye & Mercer .. all of who may be considered one day but unlikely. Vitalis resume is pretty thin too.. Sanders possibly at some point.. Adamek was a top fighter & Peter & Briggs were semi decent i suppose but i wouldn't put money on it .. they're unique in that the only legit HOF calibre rival they had was each other, but they were siblings so we never saw it.

 

When talking high tiers they didn't beat much of anything.

 

Vitali lost to the two best fighters he faced, Lennox Lewis and Chris Byrd. He certainly did not beat a future or current Hall of Famer. Wladimir beat five or six fighters who were better than Vitali's best win. None are currently HOFers but there are a few such as Povetkin, Byrd and Haye who may make it someday. That being said, IMHO, he didn't beat anyone who should be in the Hall.

 

That is an interesting fact actually.

When I read the title, I said to myself "what a dumb question. Of course they have." But you are right.

 

They've beaten potential HOF'ers out of the HOF which is better in my book than beating some geezer who would get in the HOF for work he did half a decade or more before.

 

If you are asking who I think should be, Byrd for me, and Haye, for the almost unique feat of winning a belt at heavy after being cruiser champ.

No way on Povetkin. Never won a real title, and there is a cloud over his entire career now.

For Vitali, JCG at cruiser, and maybe Adamek at cruiser.

For me, no on Mercer, Rahmen, Sanders.

What do all the guys I said "yes" to have in common? Natural cruisers or lower.

For Wlad - Haye will get in for unifying at cruiser and winning a belt at heavy.
Byrd will one day get in too- beat Holyfield, Tua, Vitali and held a belt.
Hard to predict who Wlad defeated that would make the HOF had Wlad not stood in the way, he defeated a lot of good, in their prime fighters. Povetkin is the only one I’m pretty certain would make the Hall if Wlad was not around.

As for Vitali - Adamek for his cruiser work and decent foray at heavy may get in one day.
