Terence Crawford is the most overrated boxer in the past 23 years.

So David Haye must be better than Usyk then because he beat a 7 foot 2 Valuev?

 

He is a great fighter (my pfp number 2) but overrated for sure. He has yet to beat an elite fighter in his prime that’s also his size or a bit bigger

 

His best prime win is still Viktor Postol.

 

That’s a blatant over simplification of what I said tho.

The quality of opponent and how they beat them matter as well. Valuev wasn’t an elite heavyweight and Haye only scraped past him. But the fact he was fighting at such a disadvantage certainly makes it impressive.

Usyk has won despite big disadvantages against great opposition and done so dominantly.

By comparison, Crawford has fought mostly meh opposition, or decent names who were at the end of their career or had been in multiple car crashes etc. and he’s never fought anyone remotely bigger than himself.

 

Crap fight compared to Usyk and Fury, Usyk came at Fury who is much quicker than Valuev was and landed far more punches than Haye did, Fury was 10x bette than Valuev.

He was a brilliant fighter who beat a lot of guys who'd seen better days. Whatever the reason, or whoever gets the blame, Crawford and Spence circled each other for years. Weren't they both 1 & 2 in 2018, but didn't fight until '23?
