David Benavidez most ducked current boxer?

Opetaia is the most ducked and it isn't even close.

This is what resumes of ducked fighters look like, because the big names in the division are avoiding them; that's why his resume is full of trash. Golovkin had the same problem. It was only brave fringe contenders who stepped up to the plate and then got eviscerated, like Matthew Macklin. It was one step forward and 2 steps back. Canelo tried to age him out, but he still lost the first fight in the eyes of most.

CBS and Zurdo have both declined the Jai fight, despite being offered serious money. He's clearly the most avoided boxer in the world at the moment, and it's likely to remain that way considering he's signed with Dana's clown outfit.

 

The only person I've ever heard Benavidez call out is Canelo. Benavidez has never fought anyone close to the caliber of Bivol or Beterbiev.

 

Bivol hasn’t dodged benavidez it has never made sense financially and bivol has been injured a lot, Benavidez just isn’t the draw he should be. I could be argued that Yarde was as much of a draw as he was, if you look at legacy versus reward for all the possible opponents for him zudo makes the most sense.
Ducking in boxing is actually quite a rare occurrence, it’s risk versus reward and it’s the promotion that makes the decisions.

 

It's almost as if you are unaware that Benavidez sent Bivol an offer which Bivol rejected and dropped his belt rather than fight Benavidez. It's almost as if you are trolling. Bivol ducked Benavidez. He is fighting a bum mando instead of David.

Ducking is quite common in boxing. The 'risk vs reward' rubbish is just an excuse for ducking. When you don't want to face the risk, and take an easier fight, that's a duck. Its a super simple concept if you want it to be.

I am unaware of the offer that Benavidez sent Bivol. I do know the Benavidez is moving up to cruiserweight to fight Zurdo.

 

He was sent an 8 million offer to fight David when he was his mando. He rejected the fight.

I wouldn’t call any of his opponents fringe contenders, and I definitely wouldn’t compare his reign to Golovkin’s. Golovkin unified multiple times and fought Canelo 2x. In his first year as WBA super champ he beat 2 top 10 ring fighters, 1 of whom was top 5. In his second he beat 2 top 10 and unified, including a top 5 win. His third year was bad, but in his fourth he fought Canelo and in his fifth rematched him. Jai has Briedis and then a bunch of “prospects” who haven’t done anything anywhere near the world level.

And Jai is a popular champion from Australia. Is it possible every contender is ducking him? Of course. But realistically he’s the only champ I’ve seen since wilder do something like this above 105 (even Zhanibek unified) so I have to wonder.
