And being a Golden Gloves champ is worse than being a top world level am. You seem to have an issue with truth.

I wasn't speaking with any value to Robbi's amateur pedigree - just highlighting he held Golden Gloves credentials at a time that it meant something.

Robbi was just a better professional fighter than Floyd - you seem to have an issue with many people believing this.

That’s an interesting reply considering that you apparently take issue with a post I made about Floyd having a superior am career.

Not really relevant to them as pros.

Robbi was just a better fighter.

There’s a correlation between am greatness and pro greatness. See what Shakur did to Teo.

    Lol.

Correlation works when you want it to work.

How well did amateur pedigree work for Breland or for Audley when he faced Haye?

Robbi was just flat out a better, more proven professional fighter.

It’s interesting that you’re so set on conforming with a prevailing opinion that hasn’t had much time to change.

Floyd obviously showed better defense, counterpunching, dominance, and consistency than Robinson.

Defense and counterpunching can be argued for, but consistency and dominance? No way in hell!

It's strange that you suggest Floyd showed more dominance when his résumé doesn't show anything near the sheer volume of success that Robbi enjoyed prior to his first retirement.

Robbi showed more creative combination punching, greater punch arsenal, better chin and one punch KO power in both hands.

Floyd's skills are far greater than his résumé but yeah, believe what you like.

Blah blah blah - yada yada yada- it is what it is.

Back to original thread premise, with months to prepare for and with the right ref allowances, Floyd could have arguably beat the vast majority of everyone that Robbi beat.

Born in the same era, facing the same schedule and with everything that we saw through his career, he very likely wouldn't be able to keep up with Robbi's.

Robinson was profoundly less dominant than Floyd as he moved up in weight. That’s fact, not opinion.

No way was Floyd more consistent or dominant than Robinson. Probably wasn't a better counter puncher either.

I guess you can bend the definitions of what consistency and dominance mean.

You won’t find that video of Robinson’s counterpunching though.

He counters very well against Docusen, probably the best of Robby we have on film.

I think Floyd would be in the top 3 at 135 and 147 during the time but he has a murderers' row that I'm not confident he gets through with a clean record. Punches would be going through his guard plenty more with those tiny ass gloves, but Floyd's always had a sturdy chin so I think he'd adjust well.

Maybe he could have success while fighting undersized at 160, given the size disadvantages he overcame against Maidana and Canelo.

I think many are forgetting just how much smaller Floyd was than Robbi.

Pretty Boy has nothing to deter the likes of Basilio, LaMotta, or Fullmer.

Floyd protein-shake maxed out in the low 150s.
