Holyfield. Underrated old school technique Fury’s weaknesses are where Holyfield is strong. He can work his way in and has good bodywork. Would have his head on his chest all night. Fit as a fiddle too. the skills of fighters have dropped since those days.
I think Holyfield would get inside and rough him up. Fury has a lot of heart and would make the distance but he would take a beating
Fury lost to an MMA fighter, dawg hahaha. Also, what people in the thread forget to mention is that Tyson Fury had a positive test for an anabolic steroid called nandrolone. Every top boxer takes steroids; quit crying about it.
How does he attempt to stop Holyfield without getting stopped himself ? Furys defense is not as good as you believe it to be, that much is evident
I don't think he attempts to stop him it would be from an accumulative punches which is why I said UD or late stoppage.
Has Evander provided any updates on this elusive "Evan Fields" character? I know he was planning own his investigation and getting to the bottom of things.
35 year old Tyson Fury loses against an MMA guy in a pro match vs. 60 year old retired Evander Holyfield, who last fought more than a decade ago against an ancient Brian Nielsen, and loses against an MMA guy in a exhibition match. For reference, in 1997, when Holyfield was 35, he beat Mike Tyson twice and beat Michael Moore. But yeah, this is somehow equivalent.
Fury’s great defence/pernell Whittaker type master boxer statements is just media hype narrative. He gets hit way too often to have a great defence. He’s just so much bigger than most he fights.
Holyfield was a month shy of his 41st birthday when he fought Toney; he was completely shot to bits. If Holyfield could take the best of Tyson, Bowe, and Lennox and go 12 rounds, then he is going to have no issues with a guy who couldn't put a dent in an MMA fighter making his pro boxing debut. Holyfield is a nightmare for Fury, a high-volume, iron-chinned HW with the heart of a lion. If Cunningham had Fury on the floor and Usyk had him stumbling from pillar to post, then Holyfield outworks him over 12, I think. Few fighters in HW history have been as overrated as Fury, who couldn't even dominate a dog**** era.
