I wonder Usyk will deal with him. Fighting a non pure boxer can be awkward and that dude can clearly punch.

Usyk was scheduled to make his Heavyweight debut against former Kickboxing champion Tyrone Spong back in 2019.

Then there’s Callum Smith who actually fought former GLORY Welterweight champion Nieky Holzken in the World Boxing Super Series, and imo had a very hard time beating him.

    So Many questions:
    - is this really a money fight for Usyk? Does anyone outside of Rotterdam Zuid follow Kickboxing?
    - if he is after a crossover, why not do Ngannou or Jon Jones who are way bigger names globally who I’m sure would both gladly fight Usyk
    - why they didn’t let Rico first fight one of the gatekeepers, anyone in the top 15 to give him credibility before putting him in a ring with Usyk?
    - how much does Rico earn on this fight ? Should be peanuts?
    - why Egypt? Why not Saudi? The locals are rather broke, don’t think have much cares for boxing, do they want to fill the room with tourists from Europe? If so who will bother going there? Does the not so wealthy government there pay to get „promotion“?
    - I hope Wardley and Kabayel will do some decent fights and not just wait and see or fight no-names

Not a great fight at all, great location but underwhelming fight.

I did enjoy Rico in kickboxing though.

    That's what I'm talking about

    Superfight, baby

    Two Kings right there

    Two lions

    Two GOATs

    History in the making

In the land of the pyramids no less

    Lion vs lion

    King vs King

Not only the best HW boxer in the world vs the best HW kickboxer but the best boxer in the world vs the best kickboxer

    The best of this generation

    Two GOATs

Usyk hasn't lost a fight in like 16.5 years and truth be told it should really be 17.5 years because he was robbed in that fight. It will nearly be 17 years by the time he climbs in the ring for this superfight

Rico hasn't lost a fight in like 11 years and he reigned as GLORY HW champion for 12 years

He has only been stopped x 2 in 76 kickboxing fights which is absolutely insane, the last time of which in 2012

This match up is completely unprecedented

The best boxer the world vs the best kickboxer, both undefeated HW champs, and neither have lost a fight in a combined almost 28 years and both are extremely durable

Everybody except the hardcore fans should realize that usyk does not give a s**t about the sport and the fans , he just
There is a reason ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world ( you can google this ) . It answers all of your questions i guess .

Ngannou would be too much for usyk , just for the record .

In 2026, Rico is clearly more dangerous than Ngannou.

No wonder Usyk wants a change from all the enforced requirements of having to beat British hopefuls, not once, but twice, for his last 6 fights.
This is just a respite for him, while the minnows of the division, scrap it out.
Be quite a spectacle, the backdrop of the Pyramids, instead of soccer stadiums.

The amounts of folks threatened by Usyk is hilarious. He’s 40 and has only fought on the road and no one gave him a shot in hell of beating Fury or Joshua when he was a cruiser. Now that he’s 40 and wants a big money fight folks are whining about him not fighting crack bum boy Parker and big belly Kabayel who hasn’t beat anyone? Stfu!

Meh. Will we have to wait a whole another year before Usyk is back in the ring?
