He can't punch at all. Fury can't punch either but he still hits way harder than Rico. Rico is the most pillow fisted 270 lbs guy of all time

 

Ngannou would've been a more intriguing fight (imo) due to his punching power, but Rico is quite obviously, at least technically, a superior combat sports athlete.

I'd rather see Usyk-Ngannou in Boxing, or Verhoeven-Ngannou in MMA or Kickboxing, than Usyk-Verhoeven in Boxing.

But even if we complain about this, we'll still be watching this spectacle.

 

Love, love, love Usyk but if you’re really doing this then relinquish the belts and let the division move on. This should have been Kabayel at a football stadium in Germany. Disappointing.

I don't think Usyk fans are even happy about this, but its not like he has got much to prove left.

Fury could have fought Usyk instead of waiting a year or two fighting Ngannou or Chisora for the third time.

 

I’m disappointed in Usyk. No need of this fight when Kabayel has been waiting many months for a title fight.

He should vacate the WBC title.

 

Clearly you don't appreciate kickboxing then... that being said this fight makes absolutely zero sense...wilder makes more sense and that's saying something

 

Usyk has fought the best cruiserweights and heavyweights in the world and beat them in their backyard against all the odds. Nobody gave him a chance against heavyweight monsters like Fury, Dubois and Aj and he's cleared 2 divisions

He deserves to have 1 silly cash grab fight against the greatest Kick Boxer of all time. Mayweather was allowed to have low risk money fights so Usyk should too

Usyk versus a guy with one boxing win ... who has never competed in a match of any kind scheduled for longer than five, three-minute rounds ... who can't even knock out people using his feet ... awful matchup.

 

Usyk fans are very similar to jake paul fans .

They cheer their hero regardlass of any facts and reality .

Upon seeing this news, I wasn't surprised or angry, and I certainly wasn't shocked by the reactions on social media. After all, people across social platforms always heap excessive praise on Usyk. Having witnessed the mindless hype surrounding him firsthand, I'm not surprised that if Usyk were to fight an 80-year-old woman for a world title, most discussions on this forum and elsewhere would still side with Usyk. To put it bluntly, this is the weakest era in heavyweight boxing history. Usyk has fought only 24 professional bouts, facing just five opponents at heavyweight: Chazz Witherspoon, Chisora, Joshua, Dubois, and Fury. Yet in reality, compared to the opponents faced by Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, or Ali throughout their careers, Chisora, Joshua, Dubois, and Fury don't even register on the same level. By the logic of Usyk's cheerleaders, no boxer is truly better than Usyk—they're nothing in his eyes.
