Honestly? Fine. I don’t see him being undefeated though. That’s too many fights to run the table on. But in terms of skills? Floyd would more than held his own. The biggest problem would be the schedule. Fighting that many times a year for 22 years is insane. One thing that I think could help Floyd in that is a lot of his injuries came from long grueling training camps. Fighting that many times, those types of camps are unlikely to happen and probably aren’t even necessary. Pep wasn’t known for power and dominated with his movement and boxing ability. I could see Floyd doing something very similar.

 

Everyone SRR fought should be easy work for Floyd, that hardest is Kid Gavilan who was elite but what advantages does he have? Pretty much zero. There's no one SRR fought who has a good argument for beating FMJ. All of them are getting schooled pretty easily.

If you're arguing that Floyd did not fighting prime ATGs, well okay but I strongly believe Alvarez, Cotto, DLH, Mosley, Marquez, Judah, Corrales, Hatton, Castillo, Genaro Hernadez are better than SRR's opposition overall.

As for injuries FMJ beat Castillo with a torn rotator cuff. You don't get much worse injuries in boxing.
