This is the very 1st fight that comes to my mind on this topic, and my introduction of how technical and beautiful a boxing match could be watching it live all those years ago on Wide World of Sports.

 

Klitschko vs Povetkin? Is that some type of joke I'm not getting hahaha? It's Wladimir Klitschko's most boring performance, even above his fight against Sultan Ibragimov.

 

A master class against an undefeated, undropped fighter.

 

Wladimir Klitschko did more clinching, holding, and pushing than actually throwing punches. He threw 139 punches compared to 180 clinches. That’s not a “technical masterclass”; it’s a masterclass in excessive holding and benefiting from lenient, paid-off refereeing. Compared to his older brother, he is a shell of a warrior.

Imagine if Larry Holmes lost his “0” because Marvis Frazier pulled out a revolver and shot him. It wouldn’t matter if the referee allowed Holmes to be shot and Frazier won the fight as a result. It’s an illegal move; Wladimir would have had way more losses if he fought fairly. His brother is 1000x better.

I'm pretty sure the thread is after two sided technical quality on show. Povetkin showed very little in a one sided affair.

Same with Chavez - Rosario. One sided.

 

Greatness defusing greatness doesn't negate greatness on both sides.

 

After 50 years, you probably think Andrew Golota displayed amazing body work against Riddick Bowe, Antonio Margarito showed great power against Cotto in their first fight, and that Henry Akinwande was putting on a boxing masterclass against Lennox Lewis before getting unfairly disqualified.
