Patrick Day didn't take any visible damage either. I'm tired of arguing, we like it each other. We disagree on this one, no big deal! It happens!

    Why?

Nunez was well beaten, wasnt going to win on the scorecards, had a damaged eye. Hell he didn't even have a punchers chance of a knockdown, let alone a knockout.

3 more minutes of getting punched in the head would shorten his career. Let alone the health consequences.

Come back and fight another day.

I'm normally a sadist so when I ask for a fight to be stopped it normally means the guy getting worked over. That was the case here. Nu ez got a serious beating, I gave Navarette all but 1 round.

I dont get why the DAZN commentators were so adamant that the fight had to be stopped. Yea, Nunez was taking a lot of punches, but he was also firing back and pushing the pace, not to mention that he was landing his own punches too.
    Bizarre commentary.

Just watched this fight right now, brilliant performance from Navarrete, he dominated Nunez from start to finish, and the stoppage was entirely justified.

I was seeing a guy getting near battered to death in there, yet good old CST80 had him winning and wanting the fight to keep going. Business as usual I guess lol.

Tarrant being an obnoxious unlikable snarky ****, business as usual! Also, no sure when a draw turned into winning. Maybe I shouldn't have gone to bat for you.

I was in attendance when I saw this fight take place and thought that Nunez fought well despite getting thrashed throughout. I was initially disappointed seeing the fight stopped because the action was so enthralling but right away I noticed how terrible Nunez's eye looked so I have no issues with the stoppage. I'd rather they stop it sooner than putting Nunez's health at risk that could potentially end his career earlier. I thought Nunez would win but Navarrete really surprised me with that performance so huge props to him. I actually wouldn't mind seeing them run it back in the future.

Awesome fight overall, especially after watching it in person. It really is a different viewing experience without hearing the commentators because watching it myself I thought it was very competitive throughout, although Navarrete was winning most of the rounds. So I was surprised reading that most people had it a complete domination but I thought Nunez held his own well.
