Who is greater P4P George Foreman or Gennady Golovkin?

My point being (and it is a point that Loudon so eagerly supplied, lol) that Wlad relies a lot on being a bigger and taller man than his opponets as well as being more skilled. Indeed, his skills are built around his size. Foreman in a similar way built his career on being bigger and tougher than everybody else. Shrink both these guys down and that major part of their success formula is gone.

Now I'd agree that a good part of GGG's success is because he was a tank physically. But the crucial part is that this was not due to his being larger. Moreover his style was technical and would still work if he wasn't a KO machine deluxe. Indeed, his early career is based more on being a boxer-puncher than on "Mexican Style". That is why GGG scales well in a P4P sense.

Uhhh yes? Holyfield, Usyk, the cardio those guys have are only impressive relative to their size. Prime Holyfield was dead on his feet against Bowe. Usyk can only be so active because he puts almost nothing behind his shots and usually drops the middle rounds in order to fully step on the gas late into the match. If Golovkin threw 800+ genuine power-shots and stiff jabs for 12 rounds at 6’4 and 220 lbs he’d have a heart attack.

It doesn’t matter how good your chin is at HW, it doesn’t increase like power and size does. Henry Cooper dropped Ali, basically any HW can KO one another if they land clean, human body isn’t built to take punches from people that big.

 

Granted he might not pull off that workrate. But it would still be higher than most HWs because of how he trains.
