A 12-0 decision win over a prospect who went on to do nothing in a fight that was 50-50 with the bookies being one of the greatest wins for the UK is pathetic.

You miserable git. It's easy to say that now but loads of people wrote Calzaghe off and thought Lacy would beat him. It was a great win for Calzaghe and he completely took Lacy's soul that night, that's why he went on to do nothing.

Beautiful performance by Joe. Both hands shot to bits but he administered a biblical shellacking masterclass to the ''next big thing soon to be next big US star'' Jeffrey Lacy. Completely outboxed him and sadly for him he completely ruined him.

Froch beating Bute was a far better win but you guys never seem to talk about that.

Is it because Froch actually had the stones to find out how good he was instead of hiding in Nottingham for 12 years then KO'ing a shot legend?

Calslappy isn't half the fighter Froch is.

Super Joe showed how it was done. And then he went on to spank Jones for an encore and Hopkins for dessert.

    :boxing1

    Very tasty indeed.

Froch was probably on some high-quality PEDs for the Bute fight - he had never been that relentless before.

Joe retired almost 18 y/o but the biblical tsunami of baba tears from the haters, which has been flowing for way longer than that, is still flowing at full speed almost 2 decades later

Still utterly consumed by their obsession and never getting to see him lose. Bellissimo :risas3:

A great performance by Calzaghe, against a fighter who showed great promise but who didn't live up to his promise after that match. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that that match might have marked Lady permanently. A great champion Calzaghe, the best super middleweight of all time and, of course, at ATG.

Froch was always a great finisher. He got Bute hurt and didn't let up.

Your counterargument is just random speculation? Every pro boxer is on substances. Froch over Bute is a better win than anything Calzaghe has done in his career.

Actually, Lacy was the favorite, it wasn't 50-50 with the bookies.

Why do you hate Joe Calzaghe? Is it because you don't like people from Wales, or is it because his father is Italian and you don't like Italians?
