Is Bivol overlooked P4p?

    Beterbiev (undefeated top 5 p4p monster)
    Canelo (on a massive winning run, was p4p #1 at the time)
    Zurdo (undefeated champion, went on to become cruiserweight champion AFTER)

    He beat all three guys.

    Only Usyk has bettered that on paper. Inoue doesn't have wins like that, Shakur only has Teofimo which comes close, Bam Rodriguez doesn't have anything like that.

    Bivol should be p4p #2 on wins.

    No one is overlooked if you are even mentioned in on the p4p list. I do think he is easily top 3 personally, but again, none of it matters much beyond fan discussions and debates. Throughout the years, especially in the last decade there has been fighters placed way too high and low on these lists. There's no way to get an exact formula on ranking them, so I try not to stress it.

    But I do agree, Bivol is no less than #2 currently. But that's just me (and you....lol).

    What sane person overlooks Bivol P4P? He's one of the best, both on wins and on boxrec stats. Incredible fighter.

    Kambosos has a win over Teo and Sandor Martin and Jermaine Ortiz should too

    In fact, Teo should've been 4-3 in his last 7, with 2 losses at 140, going into the Shakur fight

    Martin has wins over 41-1 Mikey Garcia and should have wins over a 17-1 Teo and a 23-0 Puello all in their backyards on a deck heavily stacked against him or on the road

    I don't see a world where Shakur isn't getting rolled over like a freight train by a same size or bit bigger Beterbiev, even this old version. I don't think he can stay afloat under that heat for 12, let alone 24 rounds. Not just 12 rounds of relentless pressure from an elite P4P top 5 fighter and elite pressure fighter, but one who is also an elite puncher, arguably the hardest in the sport P4P, with brutally heavy hands. Bivol got the skills, toughness and durability, work rate and ring IQ to deal with it

    Don't get me wrong, I think Inoue and Shakur beat him P4p.. But resume doesn't stack up

    Right now I have him at 5 (Shakur, Bam, Usyk, Inoue) largely because of his inactivity since beating Beterbiev. With Crawford retired, if he gets some decent wins this year he could conceivably get into the top 3, but he'll probably never be held in the same regard as Inoue and Usyk because they're guys who moved up and cleaned house. Bivol is a 1 division fighter and has been his entire career which limits him.

    Only the Betterbive win is really any good
    Canelo moving up and Zurdo is basically a bigger slightly better Barrios

    The issue is losing to a 39 year old, then barely squeaking by that same guy at 40. I think he's fairly rated around #5. An excellent but inactive boxer who lacks power.

    Beterbiev is the real monster. One of the greatest boxing forces we've seen.

    How? As skilled and talented as he is, how does Shakur beat a same size Bivol? Bivol is just as skilled, faster P4P, much higher work rate, has amazing footwork, just as defensively sound, and even though neither are KO punchers Bivol hits harder P4P. Be an intriguing chess match but I don't see an advantage for Shakur

    Don't know if I see an advantage for Inoue vs Bivol either. When I say advantage I mean as in more likely to win not individual attributes

    Bivol is miles ahead of Shakur P4P. Bivol won both Beterbiev fights, I think. They were close, but he beat an A-grade, top-5 P4P fighter twice in my opinion. If Beterbiev were a 147 fighter, he would maul Shakur. I've got Bivol in 3rd place behind Usyk and Inoue.

    I'm saying that if Beterbiev were a 147-pound fighter with his skill set, power, and ring IQ, he would beat Shakur.

    Do you think? I would say Hearns and Trinidad hit just as hard as Beterbiev, P4P, especially Hearns.
