Baba tears? All one needs to do is bring up Haney whooping Loma and another group of fanboy baba tears flow like the Nile. Haney is a weight bully, Loma is fighting g 6 division above his natural weight. That baba tears nonsense can go several ways.

Froch beating Bute might be a better win than Lacy, but Calzaghe beating Hopkins is so far ahead of any Froch win that the difference between the two of them is night and day. That's why more people rate Joe. His style would be a total disaster for Froch; he isn't half the boxer Calzaghe is, but they're both great fighters, 2 of the best the UK has ever produced.

A split decision win over a 43 year old in which Calslappy got knocked down?

The Lacy win is an interesting one to me. He came with a LOT of hype, mainly from the US, based more on what people thought he could do; not on what he actually had done. Calzaghe beat him soundly, and that's to his credit. Though I have never, personally, seen what Lacy did before or after which places him as an elite win.

Yeah, the same Hopkins that schooled an undefeated Pavlik in his very next fight and went on to unify the 175 division, beating Pascal. He was decent, but he was soundly beaten by Andre Ward, and was far too one-dimensional to give any of the great 168 names any serious trouble. Calzaghe would've beaten Froch through volume, speed, and angles; he's tailor-made for him.

One of the standout performances of the 21st century. Lacy was overhyped but to call him a scrub like many do is a stretch.. he was a former Olympian who'd recently KOd Robin Reid.. that isn't something anyone could do.. undoubtedly the American was overrated but I also think Calzaghe dished out such a masterful beating that Jeff was never going to be the same again.

Still won. Hopkins had to cheat to survive. Cry more.

I went to this fight , on this very site the predictions were roughly 90-10 in favour of Lacy , as for Froch beating Calzaghe he would have taken a worse beating than he took off Jermaine Taylor for 11 rounds and 1 minute , i was a big fan of Frochs but 20 years ain't enough years for people to forget the levels between Calzaghe & Froch , try in another 20 when the ones who know are chasing daisies .

Except that didn't happen. Not only didn't Haney ''whoop'' Loma but Loma was robbed despite Haney having an obscene weight advantage, massive reach advantage, huge youth advantage, hometown advantage, a home ref, 3 home judges and a 36 hour weigh in for a fight between one of the biggest weight bullies in the sport and a tiny 135 pounder who unlike said weight bully moved up in weight because he dared to be great not because he was a massive weight bully who has been telling fighters at 135, 140 and 147 that they're ''too small'' despite it being his debuts at 140 and 147 and them being career fighters at those weights and big for the weights.

And then he ducked giving the much smaller Loma a rematch even though only a tiny minority of fans had him winning (only 16-17k of 118k of FightHub's poll had him winning) and he would've been doing so on a heavily stacked deck again.

Of course people are going to be pissed at injustice and when fighters they're fans of get robbed, especially when it's happened numerous times and fighters from that part of a certain region of the world keep getting robbed over in the US time and time again by the obligatory three home judges and seldom get a fair shake over there vs their boys.

Haney hasn't beaten anyone close to his size sans possibly the ''too small'' Norman for goodness sake and his army of ignorant repulsive fans on social media think he's some generational great and P4P great and Loma's a hype job who was never any good at all and they hate him and on him with a vengeance even though Haney isn't and never will be close to his level and will never do once what Loma did routinely

And Haney is an active fighter not one who has been retired almost 2 decades

The Cobra would stand no chance of beating Joe at all it would've been a terrible style match up for him. He's not knocking Joe out. He's not outboxing him. He's not outworking him. Joe was way too fast, skilled, busy and fit and tough. Joe would hit him at will and maybe even Lacy him or at least box his ears off

In no world did that ever happen.. even Haney basically admitted he was lost in there.. how are u whooping someone yet telling your corner otherwise? That was a clear robbery. They happen. People can discern.. its not a case of you just admit there are bad decisions or admit there aren't.. nothing is black & white..

Hopkins Calzaghe was nothing like that fight. Lomachenko boxed beautifully in the Haney contest. Whereas the LHW clash was two evenly sized ageing greats in a very bad style clash stinker of a fight in which one man was continually crying foul & stalling while the other looked sloppy & his timing was off .. but Calzaghe didn't live the life like Hopkins by then, he wasn't sparring & he had one foot out the door.

After 4/5 rounds it was obvious Hopkins wanted out. That's not the energy of a victor. Right man won.

Definitely agree with this; people like to make out Lacy was rubbish all along, but Calzaghe beat the life force out of him.
