Seems they are playing hardball and even though I am a fan of Jai, I agree with IBF. Dana white is trying to monopolize boxing, push for a UFC style model so he can underpay guys long term. He must be stopped.

Good if they are doing that.

he claims he doesn’t respect the orgs and wants rid, so why on earth should they let him use their belts to promote his business

Yes. I would ban anyone participating in Zuffa boxing for life from ever holding an IBF sanctioned belt.

These orgs are a disgrace, the quicker they're gone, the better and I don't care if it's zuffa that replaces it.

You'll be taking that back when they give us the excitement of Fury vs Wilder 4 for the vacated WBC belt.

Yes, Zuffa cannot be allowed to succeed -- lest we wish to see our favorite sport decline even further than it already has. The sanctioning bodies are very VERY flawed but I would never take Dana the mother****in devil White over them. Good on the IBF for setting a standard, I hope Zuffa fails

Zuffa want to end their organization. So I wouldn't expect them to promote Zuffa either.

    Sorry forgot to add

@CST80 , could you please add a poll to this thread. Poll question is if you support the IBF telling Opetaia to defend either the Zuffa belt or IBF.

poll options are 1) I support the IBF and 2) I do not support the IBF

    thanks

IBF can see what Zuffa and White want to achieve
Why back them when they effectively want to end them?

    Good on them

One of Boxings biggest problems today is that there are too many sanctioning bodies with too many belts ,apart from the Top belt in each organisation the other available belts are just outright money makers for them ! Now we are going to have a competing Boxing Organisation to go along with all this which will just cause even more problems imo. We all know how Dana operates with lower pay for his fighters and also how his stable fight more often with only one Champion in each Division,so will today’s top fighters even want that ? Going to be interesting to see how things play out and hopefully not at the expense of More drama in today’s Boxing .

    Yes

There's definitely something in it as Dana White wouldn't even comment on the situation when pressed
