Matchroom signs Tom Aspinall

Not sure if this belongs in the boxing forum; he has been signed on a management basis, with no indication that he is switching codes to boxing.

 

He will 100% switch to boxing and soon.

 

Hearn and Dana certainly firing some interesting shots at each other.

 

How are his eyes ? he was badly hurt in his last fight

 

What the hell is going on?
The current UFC Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has just signed with newly launched Matchroom Talent Agency. This is quite interesting as he is quite a high profile fighter on Dana White's UFC stable, but has stated he would like to move in to boxing at some point, he has previously sparred quite a bit with Tyson Fury, not sure how good he is as a boxer, very impressive at MMA though. After Aspinall's last fight where he got his eyes poked and required surgery, Dana White was particularly insensitive and there was a bit of falling out.

Nothing surprises me now he's a certified puppet.

Pretty obvious what could happen.

 

Eddie through Matchroom and Dazn can offer Aspinall a lot actually.

Push for more money in remaining 3 UFC fights. Offer him AJ boxing match, or equivelant (maybe Jake Paul ?)
Can maybe do Aspinall vs Ngannou MMA fight on Netflix (MVP is doing a Rousey MMA fight on Netflix).

 

Don't think it's a major shock to the boxing world. Quite an interesting counter strike from Hearn in the Zuffa/Matchroom war.

 

In the game of screwing with each other. I think it’s a decent shot back.
