This will be my last post for a while

I think it's obvious he would destroy Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe. A peak Klitschko would also KO Joshua and Fury. Vitali is the only SHW in history who can beat Wlad but his technique is poor in comparison and has pillowfists. There's a reason he went unbeaten for 10 years and it had nothing to do with the level of competition, because the Klitschko era was actually more stacked than the 1990s and the 80s, but since there were no Americans dominating the era gets written off.

He lost almost no rounds during his reign, showed the correct way how to fight like a big man and is perhaps the hardest puncher in history on top of being extremely technical. If he had his brothers chin he'd be unbeatable

Hyothetical Iron chinned Wladimir >>>> Iron chinned Lennox Lewis

Absolutely.Give Wlad Vitali's granite chin and there is a real chance he could be the GOAT.

in theory, yes, but even in saying that...

it will quickly digress into so & so and so & so weren't far behind him, they were, most of them - the S-HWs are subpar.

and we should never retract from that!

Give both Wlad and Lewis iron chins, and Lewis still wins.

The ultimate SHW is pre-Wlad Fury for me.

Nahh, Wlad was quicker, more accurate, had a better jab and controlled the distance better. He was also stronger in the clinches.

Emanuel Steward once said that Wlad was the best heavyweight ever when it comes to using his size, controlling the distance etc. So he just might be.

I would say he was relatively lacking the punching power though.

I also think Wilder 2 is the other top tier Fury performance too.

Carnera had real power but his jab was his best punch. No question he hit harder then a Valuev or a Tyson Fury.

But yeah he was the guy who started the conversation around SHWs being a seperate thing. He is technically a 2 division champ because he won the SHW belt.

I mean, I doubt he was quicker - he definitely wasn't in terms of the time between his punches. Lewis was much more fluid, and much more adaptable, much better on offence and had a better defence which didn't rely on the clinch nearly as much. Lewis was better inside, has a wider arsenal, and clearly a better ring general. Lewis' losses came from a lapse in concentration, Wlad's came from panicking under pressure.

Lewis got hit more than prime Wlad. Lewis was more fluid, and much more adaptable, but it doesn't mean he would be more effective than Wlad. Klitschko's losses came from his stamina (Purtity and Brewster) and his chin (Sanders). He had no stamina issues in his prime and we already gave him the granite chin in the hypotethical.

Giving fighters something they didn't have is a little more complex as maybe Wlad not having a great chin made him the fighter he was.

I mean maybe it would make him a better fighter but at the same time maybe not and maybe he turns out to be a different fighter.

He lost to Brewster & Purrity due to stamina issues not his chin.

He lost to Fury in his older age due to a stylistic issue not his chin.

Having a better chin doesn't alter these losses.

Even Steward said that Wlad needed to be as great at controlling distance and fighting big as he was, because of the chin. If he had his brother's chin, he might have just go all out and destroy everybody, but at the same time, he would still be susceptible to stamina issues.
