You're ok with younger Fury vs Ngannaou, AJ vs Paul, Kabayel vs Knyba, but you protest when 40 year old Usyk fights Verhoeven.

    Again, not true.

Kabayel is contracted with Queensberry. So Frank Warren has to make that fight happen and put up the money. Who has more money, Frank or Turki? Frank turned a profit of only $15 million last year. I imagine the guy that made Undisputed happen for Usyk and was paying $100 mill for Fury and Usyk is the guy who has the real money. Just because nobody will watch Usyk v. Verhoeven doesn't mean Usyk isn't taking home a huge bag.

Nah ... it was mentioned already often .

Would usyk fight verhouven as a charity event after he honorably defended his wbc belt against kabayel and his wbo belt against wardley nobody would say a bad word .

But ducking both and trying to sell verhouven as a legit world title defence is an insult for the sport and the fans .

I've known this all along. This is why Belly lowballing him pissed me off even more. Because, as I've said many times, he did so when Usyk's country was at war and a very sizable percentage of Usyk's purse would be going to Usyk's countrymen victims of it and the same will be happening with this fight

Some say Usyk is The Messiah so it's rather fitting the haters are trying to crucify him for doing God's work.

Shame on you, haters. Shame.. shame.. shame

So i presume the WBC will give the Dutch kick boxing guy a top 15 ranking so he can fight under their own rules.

So rank him in the top 15 despite the fact he's never boxed professionally before.

We Be Corrupt living up to their name again.

Usyk lives with his family in southern spain on the mediterrean and of course does not really suffer from his war torn country . Haha

Except he may not be. If Usyk lost via freak injury, or just didn't train for the fight, that doesn't suddenly make Verhouven the best in the world.

Had Ngannou been given the decision over Fury, would you have considered him the best boxer in the world?

The fight is a sham and should never be for a title. What's next, putting a school team against Arsenal for a world series final because a promoter liked the idea?

Enough of your baba tears and whining. It doesn't matter where he currently resides of not he's doing so much his country and his countrymen. He could live on the moon for all I care. He could literally live on a bombsite in his homeland and you'd still be on here crying those baba tears

'Oleksandr Usyk primarily lives in Ukraine, specifically near Bucha in Vorzel, where he has a family home. While he maintains this residence, he spends significant time training for fights at a "home away from home" in Gandia, Spain, on the east coast, particularly during preparation for major bouts.
    • Primary Residence: Ukraine (Vorzel, near Bucha).
    • Training Base: Gandia, Spain.
    • Context: Despite the ongoing war, Usyk maintains strong ties to his home in Ukraine

Usyk raising money for Ukraine is admirable, but lets leave world politics out of this. This isn’t Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling II.
The WBC, The Heavweight Title, Usyk (the boxing messai) are supposed to be about one thing: Boxing.
    The champion fighting credible contenders.

The reason (political/promotional/financial) doesn’t matter. If the champion fights someone like Rico Verhoeven instead of a real contender, it’s a joke of a title fight and an embarrassment for the belt. Wrapping it up in noble motives doesn’t suddenly make it a serious matchup.

It's a shameless money grab and fans are rightly fed up with clown shows. Sentiment is quickly turning against Usyk on this one. It will damage his legacy. As a fan of his, why be on board with something like that?

Every rule is more of a discretionary guideline for them.

They may not bother with trying to put him in the top 15 (though I think I heard rumours of #13). It probably depends how much Sulaiman wants his name dragged through the mud on his anniversary year as president.

Him trying to back out of sanctioning this as a world title defence was telling. As money hungry and corrupt as he is, even Sulaiman knows he has attached himself to a **** show.
