Styles makes fights, l picked Crawford over Canelo because his style was all wrong for Canelo.

GGG is a very different fighter, I wouldn't right Bud off but Golovkin is a much tougher fight in his prime. Canelo doesn't cut off the ring as well and GGG throws a lot more too.

Despite Canelo being bigger than Bud he was physically weaker as we saw in the clinch. Canelo doesn't have the style to use his size advantages if he isn't already the slicker more technical boxer against a smaller man.

But Gennady is difference because he's bigger, stronger, as durable as anyone, much more power and he has an elite jab. He can counter jab and outjab Bud which Canelo couldn't. He can bully him physically being the stronger man which Canelo couldn't despite the size. And Gennady we know isn't stopping the pressure and goes 12 rounds hard while Canelo's output fades late.

I don't see how Bud wins this. It's about as poisonous a matchup I can think of for him. He only has speed and technique on his side. Against Canelo he had more physical advantages than he would against Gennady and the jab is a massive component too. Bud has never dealt with a power jab anywhere in the vicinity not to mention Gennday's relentless pace, uncrackable chin, power and cardio.

Bud would have his moments possible rounds even but I think he gets stopped eventually.

Stylistically this favours GGG imo. Bud primarily fights in center ring, looking to counter during the opponents thrown shots. Meanwhile GGG at his best H2H had elite ring cutting abilities, an elite jab and amazing stamina alongside thudding power and good workrate. If bud tries to counter as GGG engages then GGG will just plow on forward exchanging as he did to Geale. If Bud tries to stay away and pick his spots he'll get cut off and broken down.

People will try and use triangle theory of 'Canelo troubled GGG' forgetting that Canelo is a cagey counter puncher with elite head movement, elite chin, is great off the ropes and great single shot selection. This type of style and attributes will always bother GGG, especially when he's in his late 30s.

Crawford was able to see a lot of what Canelo was doing because it was just the same two punches. The straight right hand and left hook to the body. Prime GGG brought much more to the table. Canelo is far from his prime today.

I see that but I also see Spence whose style wasn't too dissimilar to GGG's. Whom Spence was also a VERY good fighter.

Good point but Spence was damaged from the car accident and Spence doesn't have a GGG chin. Spence didn't have GGG's power either.

There isn't a alternate reality, dimension, or universe where GGG would go on a four year KO drought vs cherrypicks, even the shot 40 y/o version

Madrimov who idolizes GGG arguably beat Crawford and he isn't fit to lace GGG's boots.

Crawford has 2 fights above 147 and 1 above 154

A washed Clenelo who hadn't stopped anyone in 4 years

And 11 fight pro novice Madrimov who despite not having beaten a single prime world class opponent before and making a huge leap up in class on a deck stacked against him arguably won

And Crawford didn't give either a rematch

He would not be fighting a washed GGG who couldn't record a single win inside the distance in four years of cherrypicking or one who had only had 11 fights

He would be fighting a prime, experienced absolutely murderous punching KO machine one who hits a lot harder than he's ever been hit in his life, with both hands, who has a titanium chin and an amazing jab and elite skills and was a devastating body puncher to boot
