What boxers lose by signing with Zuffa Boxing

So as you get to fight the best opponents out there and not just the ones who see it as 'good for business' to fight you?

 

I love the UFc but Whites model will not work in boxing.

also Dana could not get Jones to fight Aspinall so I am not sure why he is needed

Because most of the things you give up don’t mean much to the majority of boxers. UFC has been very good for MMA and MMA fighters in general. The top top lose.

Absolutely! I personally think that Dana and Turki together are going to wipe the floor with all these two bob hustlers in boxing. Turkish has played these guys like the greedy fools they are.

I would suggest that Zuffa will use a UFC style model with contracts and payments for boxers fighting for Zuffa's internal awards like Zuffa Belts; and one closer to a conventional style as used by other promoters for elite level fighters. There is competition in boxing which should keep Zuffa a little in check, crossing all fingers.

Well l'm not going to type all their names in, but Jai Opetaia plus about another 100 more, and that's only after a couple of months. That number will grow as the bigger names come out of contract and can be signed by Zuffa.

 

Curious to know how much Conor Benn and Opetaia will actually making with Zuffa. Surely it must have been good money to prise them away, especially compared with a good UFC fighter.

Although Opetaia as @like a boss pointed out - probably just signed out of frustration. Zuffa may be forced to adapt as boxing is a different animal to UFC.
