    Charity work not politics

Already explained my position more times than I can remember not going through it all again. It's one fight *insert all the context I explained* if he doesn't defend against a mandatory next it's a different story and he should be stripped and I the CEO of Usyk Inc fully support that.

And Usyk's legacy is set in stone. The opinions of the circling vultures aren't going to change that no matter how desperate they are for it to be true. It's not like we don't know they're not sparrows

My issue isn't with his past, it's exemplary. It's what he's doing in the present.

He's fighting around once a year and avoided three mandatories to fight a kickboxer for a title defense. It's a severe blemish on an otherwise excellent record.

I don't begrudge him making money, but he can do that without mocking the sport.

There is no excuse for this being a tittle fight.

We sure the war won’t end up canceling this one? Seems a shitshow over there right now. Israel and the US strike Iran, and Iran starts attacking… everybody?

    serious question.

I don't know about that. Look how badly Roy Jones legacy suffered simply because he didn't retire earlier.

If he retired at 34 he would be viewed much more positively

Roy Jones suffered a PEDs bust and in later years suffered a series of knockouts that make any intelligent person question whether he was ever that good, or whether he was just ahead of the curve on using PEDs in boxing.

Not the same thing as taking a semi-exhibitional fight that is going to bring in massive numbers of fans from another sport to boxing.

Nah, I'm not on board with the lets wait and see approach. He holds three belts. 12+ months is way too long following Dubois 2.

For all the grief we give Fury, he actually dealt with his mandatory challenger in his second WBC title defence.

Why can't the losses be ignored due to being past it? I don't see why people make an issue of them to begin with.

Again, I will repeat, because he had a PEDs bust, and because he fell off so spectacularly, it begs the question of how much of his "ability" was actually drug related.

When he truly fights verhouven as a world title defence after his triple duck i agree . His legacy is then indeed set in stone .

That Usyk pushed for it to be a title fight is what really makes it a black eye for boxing.
