He's got good optics, and that alone makes him interesting ... thanks for flagging him as I don't follow NRL much at all.
I do know that you don't last long in the NRL without being pretty ****ing tough and able to take heavy hits.

The more Aussie HWs there are in the mix having a crack, the better.

NAS pushed the limits of how big a rugby league player can be in the modern game. 6'7 110-120kgs. Such a physical player and a good runner in his early days. Solid career at the storm.

He always looked like a union player to me.

Add Meehan to the mix as well, he's not very good but gives a decent account of himself. Won a 4 rounder in NZ over the weekend and he's scheduled for another one early April.

I am still baffled why he didn't stay in the NRL he is only 29 and one of the most damaging forwards in the comp in recent years. Left a lot of money on the table to take up boxing LOL.

He still had 2 years on his contract. on 850k a season. Linked to R360 which hasnt worked out well for Lomax or Papenhauzen either but he never seemed like he was coming back to League. Called the game soft and shut the door behind him.

Yeah still pretty strange decision to leave that sort of money on the table. Boxing would still be there at 32 or 33 like most other retired League players or even fight in the off season like how Gallen used to.

I reckon he'll look back on that decision with regret, before long.

Willis is still 30 I think. I hope he can get back. Not sure his legal issues status - but 100% he should have another crack in boxing. It's crazy he's letting these years go by without any sport related income accumulating.

That's because he was a Union player. Was poached by the Storm whilst in the NZ rugby system.

He missed two consecutive grand finals with suspensions and I reckon the Storm was over his onfield shite.
