Hmm... What you say makes sense (besides not lying every 2 mins, I'm not sure I'm buying that one) , and yet we have him firing good trainers to replace them with yes men.

I suppose it could well be that he just developed so much ego that he became much more difficult to train and probably more difficult to deal with over time.
