I think David Tua hits harder I honestly believe that Sonny Liston's power is a bit more overrated than people think looking at some footages, I believe that David Tua 100% gets this

Tua, hell, what a question. I'll allow that Liston was a superior boxer to Tua, and that he had some good pop himself, but Tua could switch people off with 1 punch.

Only one way to find that out and I ain’t trying it.. but seriously, it’s hard to say. Sonny Liston sometimes opted to box rather than go strait for the kill so some of his power was often hidden.

David Tua for 1 punch, but obviously Liston was more well rounded, and could probably punch better with most punches.

Tua the slightly bigger puncher in terms of 1 punch power but Liston the better overall and more refined boxer.

Hard pick. Tua’s left hook was awesome but Sonny’s hook was brutal and his left jab was a ramrod (his uppercut was pretty devastating too)

Maybe punch for punch Tua but Sonny had more tools in the arsenal which made him the better all round puncher imo.

Tua would legitimately kill someone if he landed some of the shots Liston landed on his magnificent 180 lbs opponents.

I think in terms of 1 punch power, it's Tua's left hook. I'd wager that Liston could throw the majority of his other punches harder than Tua could throw his though.

As others have said raw one punch power Tua, however Liston was the better boxer and would win if they fought.

    Oh come off it.How many of Liston's opponents weighed ' 180 ' lbs ?
By all means say Tua was a harder 1 punch guy but keep it sensible.
