If you're calling for Itauma to get a shot at Usyk, you have no business complaining about Rico

Itauma is 20.... He needs time to mature and can possibly turn out to be great.

With that said... This Rico fight is a disgrace.

Face it, It’s a **** fight for a champion to take.

They claim usyk is the saviour, a change from fury, AJ, wilder, but which other hw champ has taken on such a poor unproven boxing opponent?
They say wilder fought bums, they say AJ fought old men, will they say usyk fought guys who weren’t even boxers?

It's sad to say even AJs fight against Jake Paul wasn't as low. Even though it was a forgone conclusion and an exhibitional money grab, at least he wasn't a defending champion.

They will say Usyk branched across the lands of multiple disciplines, dominating combat sport on dimensions never before seen, and how Rico is somehow a more legitimate contender than anyone in the top 100. Usyk is infallible to some for some reason. He's an ATG, undeniable, but that doesn't mean he's immune from criticism either; it feels like people need this black-and-white approach to fandom with zero nuance. Although, to be fair, the vast majority of people are calling it out for the absolute horse**** that it is.

The greater point is that not only is Itauma undeserving, but he appears to have something wrong with him, be it drugs, CTE, whatever, and it is bizarre that people want this fight when we don't even really know if Itauma is good.

The point is not a potential glass jaw, though. The greater point is that not only is Itauma undeserving, but he appears to have something wrong with him, be it drugs, CTE, whatever, and it is bizarre that people want this fight when we don't even really know if Itauma is good.

Could also easily age like Holmes beating Marvis Frazier.

The Verhoefen fight isn't great but I guess a guy is allowed a soft touch every now and again. That said Verhoefen is a legend in kickboxing and a giant of a man. He might not even be very soft at all.

Says the person who thinks a kickboxer is as good as Utauma lol. Even if Utauma is high off his face he still wastes Rico.

Champions can only defend against top 15 ranked fighters. No easy touches allowed.

Rumour was wbc or some body ranked him top15 with a 1-0 record against a nobody. Turki money seriously screws the sport in some ways.

So no more john for you ? :)

Listen , the sport lives from the fact two athletes meet in the ring to find out who of them is better . How can you say " people want this fight when we dont even know if itauma is good" and indirectly claim that rico is no worse ? Itauma and rico a light years apart ! Anything you wrote what is wrong or not with itauma has no relevance when you compare him to verhouven

I realize you try to defend usyk by boosting rico a bit and even comparing him to itauma but it does not work that way .

It is and will be forever the weakest hw title defence in history . Only help is usyk wakes up and fights legit contenders as long as he wants to be a champion .
