"Is Itauma the next Mike Tyson?" Rummy: No Everyone here: Nope Itauma's marketing team: Maybe? C'mon guys he beat Whyte.
Mike Tyson was fighting every month at worst when he was Itauma's age. Itauma is only fighting once every six months these days. Even with an 'injury' he should surely beat Franklin comfortably...
I'm also pretty critical of prospects myself. Are you implying that Itauma lacks the heart and will if he takes a big punch basically?
Would it possible to do that in the current era of boxing? Even if a prospect wanted to, are there enough bodies or cans available to even fight at that rate now?
Seems like more of a Louis than a Tyson at least stylistically. Less quick footed, more set in on his punches. He has that good in and out movement that Louis had early in his career too.
Perhaps, and in the UK most likely. In the US boxing is not nearly as popular a sport as it was in the 80s, not nearly as many kids joining boxing clubs as back then.
What I took from this video is that Itauma's management had better get him into the ring far more often than what he's doing. ..."To rest is to rust",,Ray Arcel
Tyson fought 15 times in '85, and 13 times in '86, including the Berbick fight. Ituama managed two last year. Itauma turned down Sanchez, and according to the Gassiev camp, they can't find him. Finally, and most importantly, there seems to be something wrong with Itauma, be it a drug problem, or something worse. I would say no. I wish him all the success in the world, but there are already indications that this guy is a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction.
You’re probably right about boxing not as popular as it was then. I’m going off BoxRec and they have thousands of HWs listed.
How does this ad hominem moronic drivel have likes? ''He'll pack it in and leave the sport''...Quasimodo over here.
