Lewis didn't have a tag team partner , Wlad had two - a personal referee and brother who avenged his losses.
Lewis didn't fight in Germany where he could flaunt the rules , Wlad did.
Lewis fought in one of the best HW era's , Wlads era was one of the worst.
Lewis boxed a clinic against Tua. Wlad went life and death against dollar store Tua - Sam Peter.
Wlad proved he wasn't good enough to beat anyone better than Povetkin and proved he couldn't beat him with skill and technique. .
Wlad run is like a HW version of Arthur Abraham or Felix Sturm. Both those men had 20+ title defences.

Peter beat Maskaev (1-0). Rahman lost to Maskaev twice (0-2).

Peter beat Toney twice (2-0). Rahman is 0-0-1-1 against Toney.

    Take the L bro.

Rahman beat Sanders who beat Wladimir who beat Peter lol. Cmon bro. Peter just had a better chin than Rahman.

Tua is more dangerous than Peter, he's at least a level above that guy. Even Ruddock was more dangerous than Peter

I wouldn't consider Byrd dangerous, he had pillowfists and fought Golota to a draw

The entire point is Peter is being overrated for obvious reasons. He wasn't that good. Dangerous absolutely but if Peter is considered to be the most dangerous heavyweight contender of his time that says something about the era. Ibeabuchi, Tua, Ruddock, Sanders, Mercer, Bruno, Rahman, all of these guys are bare minimum as much of a threat as far as power+skills go if not morso. I'd say he clearly hit harder than Mercer but he wasn't nearly as talented and I actually think Mercer has a slightly better beard

Peter was a caveman. Dude makes Liston look like prime Holyfield

H2H...? Its a difficult list isn't it, but assuming absolute Unicorn version of each fighter, a very interesting discussion.

    For me,

Ali. His movement, heart, chin, sheer will to win, in fight management, he had it all except fight ending power but his condition meant he didn't need it. I'd back Ali in a 20 rounder...

Liston. Why have Sonny second? Because the best Sonny beats everyone else...maybe even Ali, or a good version of Ali, not the Unicorn one. Head to head, 15 rounds, his malevolent heavy handed efficency is remorseless. I think he is Krypronite for Louis, Tyson, Foreman et al...maybe my number three could beat him...

Holmes. The best Holmes has a granite chin, incredible recovery powers when he does get tagged, a massive heart and is a sublime much maligned and often ignored fighter.

Holyfield. The best Evander is too much too much for anyone outside my top 3. A horrible, grinding pressure fighter who would not be denied. Wlad might beat him in an ugly fight but Holy ranks higher H2H

Bowe. Yes, Riddick Bowe. His unicorn night he is some kind of monster. He and Holyfield are somewhat interchangeable here. An educated brawler with a heart the size of an SUV. Burnt bright but briefly, but we are talking best version v best version and yes, I think he'd beat Foreman, Frazier, Tyson...

Vitali. Vitali is a head to head nightmare. Implaccable, remorseless. He beats up Tyson, has a war with young George out conditioning him on points.

Frazier. Now ask me tomorrow and I might have Frazier as high as no.2 but today his best is still hampered by a fragility getting into his favoured range, and we have some big, heavy handed, high output fighters who can fight inside or control distance very well above him on my list..Frazier matched well against Ali because styles make fights. He is beaten by all of the above for the same reason...

Wlad. Yes. I rank Wlad higher than Foreman, Lewis and Tyson H2H because I think he beats them all in ugly fights where he sticks to his plan. A physical specimen, always fit, huge and I mean huge power, incredible ring generalship, he might win ugly but he'd find a way to win...maybe stopping lets say Tyson, Frazier and Foreman....ooh, that cats gonna scare some pigeons...

Foreman, and im gonna combine young and old. I think old Formean goes the distance with most any heavyweight, and young Foreman might beat most anyone, but if we are comparing the Unicorns as we must, both versions are beatable. Yes, I know he blitzed Frazier and I have Frazier higher but hey, its my list and rules are made to be bent, broken or ignored. Young George likely beats peak Tyson for me...today, ask me tomorrow, go on, ask me tomorrow, I dare ya...

Tyson. Peak Tyson. From about Ribalta to Spinks is a real myth. I mean he is mythical but existed...that smoke was in that bottle for a brief and glorious time and I think he beats every other heavyweight other than those above him here...and he might beat some of those...

Lewis and Louis, not because of the similarity of their names but because they were long reigning champs. Universally lauded then and now, fight ending power, huge skill and heart, but both in a head to head mythical Unicorn round Robin always struck me as sometimes defensively naive and physically fragile...

....I might have Usyk above Lewis....sublime boxer, not in my atg top 10 but possibly as hard to beat as anyone who has held the title according to these eyes...

Now, how many people has this list upset, enraged, angered....

    Stands back, ducks....

I believe he had much harder opponents than most heavy champs.

They both were spectacular HWs. The best in the business. I don't know how you can throw shade on either one.
