I’m not sure beating Bakole warrants a title shot, but it would still be a solid win. It would be a fun fight as well due to their styles. Wouldn’t surprise me if Kabayel though didn’t fancy someone as highly ranked as Bakole considering Kabayel is a serial cherry picker.
Beating Bakole doesn't warrant a title shot, but it would be a great fight. Their styles match up -- both want their man right in front of them, both come to destroy. I'd favor Kabayel, but standing in front of Bakole is pretty dangerous. And Bakole isn't Zhang; he's got stamina.
How is he supposed to prove himself if Kabayel won't fight him? Good on Okolie. Not a fan of him personally, but more boxers need to be having these fights.
No Okolie is really not good in Heavyweight like his version in Cruiserweight when he was very very dangerous and talented, he is a bit slow and robotic for Kabayel. Kabayel want Usyk because he is the star of the Heavyweight and not the others, and Kabayel takes a lot of risks before to be there (Hervé Hubeaux,Derek Chisora,Frank Sanchez, Arslanbek Makhmudov, Zhilei Zhang, Damian Knyba..), some world challengers in boxing they come out of a magic hat and sometimes don't even have one significant victory.. Kabayel is 33 years old and he has proven that he deserves his chance more than Wilder or Joseph Parker. Okolie still don't have a significant victory in Heavyweight.
okay if you want and what about Zhilei Zhang, Chisora, Makhmudov and Frank Sanchez (who was ducked by Itauma) ??
Not denying those fights had an element of risk to them. I’m still shocked Itauma ducked Sanchez to be honest.
Frank Sanchez was ducked by a lot of names in Heavyweight such as Hrgovic, Richard Torrez jr, Daniel Dubois, Efe Ajagba, Jared Anderson... And these are only the public names; in private there must be many more. I wouldn't be surprised if Jalolov, Joe Joyce or Yoka ducked Frank Sanchez too.
