Be interesting how DAZN now respond as this will be a major dent towards their UK ambitions as far as getting punters to watch their shows on TV.

I'm just happy for any Boxing to be back on SKY.

Even if it means I have to watch the winners collect and wear a god awful cheap looking belt.

Now the fun begins ! :)

I know many of the UK names Zuffa Boxing is going to sign / has made deals with.

Just think of all the PPVs Sky need to make up for from the last year. Beyond maybe the first UK show, you’d think the majority of them over here will be on Box Office.

Excellent news, hopefully it's as many as possible.

Great to see big time boxing back on Sky. Exactly what the sport needs, an opportunity for massive viewership

Poor Eddie Hearn. I wonder if he will lose interest in the boxing industry within the next 2-3 years ?

Sky being in boxing is undeniably positive and it's good for the sport that they are back involved. I won't be watching.

Zuffa are going to be an anti-competitive closed shop. Barring shock recognition by one or more of the sanctioning bodies, a talented young fighter who wants to progress beyond national level will have to sign their careers away.

So much wrong with boxing as it is now, but that doesn't justify giving full control to Zuffa.

Sky were rigorously against the European Super League "for the good of football", but jump into bed with Zuffa at the first opportunity. I guess I'm justifying my "probably moaning about Sky Sports" tagline now. Awful company.

A fair point of view, we will all have our different opinions on this.

A serious question though. If not Zuffa, what should the future of boxing look like?

Because surely there can be no way the current shambles can continue. We've had to put up with decades of mismatches, promoters cherry picking fights, governing bodies ordering absurd mandatories, the elite fighters avoiding each other for years, laughable judges scorecards and don't even get me started on the way failed drugs test are handled.

And all this while hiding the fights behind multiple paywalls and the voices of the sport being the likes of Sam Jones

People might mock the Zuffa belt questioning it's validity, let's not forget the WBC created a belt for the winner of Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul!

The masses have switched off, something drastic had to change

Why do you feel like boxing has been a shambles for decades? I think it has for a few years, probably since covid.

IMO some of the best years have been the past few decades (30-40years). So I never understand this narrative I keep hearing that boxings been broken for ages. I often feel it’s a narrative pushed by crap shill media like talksport for some agenda ie to hype Turki Dana or whoever

I also don’t understand what benefits Dana could possibly bring to the sport. I can only see a benefit for the business he represents.
