Without writing an essay here, he wound down his title reign by taking on weak opponents instead of more worthy challenger or titlists. I don’t buy into the excuse that Don King had 100% control over him or whatever other idea is floated out there.

Yeah even though Whitaker and Chavez were past their best they'd still be considered better wins than Holmes's top 2 wins.

Whitaker/Chavez are ATGs which is a big difference.

I'm a fan of Holmes but he's never even beaten one fighter I'd consider a great let alone an ATG.

I mean I guess Ali is an ATG but I don't give Holmes any credit for that win personally.

But then it gets a bit tricky because then do I add Spinks 2 for Holmes ? Because I consider that a robbery aswell.

But regardless of what unofficial or official wins you think should be included.

I think it's quite clear ODLH has a considerable edge in opposition.

I think simply adding Sturm makes it unbiased.

And yes, Oscar is clearly in front.

Personally I would add Spinks 2 for Holmes and Trindad and Mosley 2 for Oscar. But that's just my personal opinion. Don't think it would change much tbh.

P4p was created to favour an give recognition to non heavyweights because everyone knew in a real boxing match the heavyweights would come out on top. That’s why Tyson is the only career heavyweight to ever be considered the p4p best fighter in the world when he was at his best since the p4p status was first widely recognised around the time of ray robinson

Except Tyson and Spinks were right near the top when The Ring started pfp lists.

De La Hoya by a country mile, and I'm not even the biggest fan.
