I disagree with this. Floyd did everything better from a "technical" stand point that Roy. Roy just had Godly athletic ability. I can't name 5 fighters who were more rounded than Floyd.

mmmmm I disagree. If both fighters were in the same weight class, I honestly think Floyd would've made the proper adjustments and neutralized Roy's offense. Floyd did everything better from a "technical" stand point (Jab, timing, defense, ability to fight at all ranges, and his offense was more polished than Roy's).

MMMM I would favor Hagler, Monzon, Hearns, G-Man, Ward, and GGG to beat prime Roy

Disagree, someone like Roy would be absolutely kryptonite for Mayweather, Roy's offense, punch selection, power and most of all speed would give someone like Floyd fits. James Toney who was a more offensive minded Mayweather with the shoulder roll couldn't land anything significant on Roy, I don't see what Floyd can do vs the same version.

Maybe better from a classic technical standpoint. I can’t see Floyd beating someone like Toney or Hopkins as easily as Roy did.
I’d only favour a handful of boxers in Roy’s best weight classes to beat him and would favour a lot more in Floyd’s to beat him, I know there are more smaller fighters but still.

Toney was weight-drained and what seperates Floyd from Toney is that Floyd is more consistent, faster, disciplined, and was actually the better offensive fighter. Floyd could fight at all ranges at a much higher rate than Toney could.

Old Mosley had the most prime version of Floyd on Bambi legs, but sure pal. Floyd couldnt even figure out JLC in their 1st fight. For the 2nd fight, you know what Floyds solution was? Clinch. Thats it. He just clinched a lot and wasnt penalized.

Excuses. Toney was the p4p number 1/2 fighter in the world and just had a title defense 3 months prior to set up the Jones fight. Floyd wasn't better offensively than Toney in his prime, that's nonsense. Floyd never utilized the shoulder roll offensively like prime Toney did.

This is Roy completely neutralizing Toney's offense and making it look easy.

I don't see how Floyd would ever win a mythical match up between Roy if they were the same size. Roy was faster than Floyd despite being 30-40 pounds heavier, he'd beat Floyd to the punch every time Floyd tried to plant his offense.

Its only fanboys that have Floyd beating Roy. Any objective fan knows Floyd doesnt take that fight. If he does, he would need a Canelo judgepanel. I think getting stopped would be possible though

Let me be very clear if you were to shrink Roy down to PBF’s size meaning 147 to 150 pounds that China Chin Glass Jaw would get Shattered. Brutally. Roy has no Chin. None.

Prime Roy beat a prime Toney without too much trouble. He was better than Floyd at his peak, even though Floyd always had an edge in skills. Skills aren't everything in this sport, and Roy's physical gifts made him greater at his absolute best.

He’d be even faster and more athletic so he’s not going to need his ‘china chin’

At their very best, Jones was better. This is not an insult to Mayweather because they are both all-time greats.

The biggest difference between the two is Floyd was able to change his style as he aged. He went from an intelligent, athletic, aggressive when it made sense fighter to a cautious, use his ring IQ and stay out of harm's way older fighter. When Roy aged he only knew one way to fight and as he reflexes slowed he got hit more often. Which as we know, revealed a suspect chin which wasn't tested much for the first 15 years of RJJ's career because he was so physically gifted.

    Floyd easily, for me.
