Yeah and there's Futch too. Futch's gameplan was built around movement but someone forgot to tell Eddie that Spinks knee's were shot lol

 

Spinks followed an extremely complex Futch gameplan against Qawi, one that involved being extremely conservative with his biggest weapon. The gameplan was a masterpiece and worked to perfection. If Spinks shelved Futch's gameplan for one from Lewis he might not be the smartest tool in the shed.

At any rate this is in contrast to what Spinks actually said in your initial post -

My thought was that Tyson could have those early rounds, that I would start to attack in the middle of the fight and overtake him late when he would start to get tired.

 

I haven't seen such a fearful heavyweight title challenger fighter as Michael Spinks was against Tyson-Spinks since Max Schmeling-Louis II.
