Didn’t hear, maybe I’d gone for a walk, any of the, hardly understaffed DAZN employees, comment about the ref’s failure, to spur some positive action out of them.
Imagine it being held south of the border, down Mexico way!

The problem with Conlan and many other boxers who fail to transition from the amateur game to the pro game, is that they are unable to learn how to be a professional boxer.

You need to develop punching power as a professional otherwise you are ****ed.

If you do this dancing around, tag "you are it" stuff, its not working out for you.

Either 2 of the judges think the other guy tagged you more often.

Or as per the Wood and Gill fights, the other guy puts your lights out as he knows you cannot punch. And it goes without saying boxing is a business, and people are not paying to see two men dance around and tag each other. Robberies occur when people in the game do not have a use for you.

These amateurs need to learn from people like Conlan. If you cannot generate punching power, your professional boxing career will be a waste of time.

Very good post. I am sick of hearing commentators saying ‘he needed those 10 rounds’ after boring everybody for 30 minutes. There’s other plenty of entertainment around. Boxers, particularly the ones who are getting paid a fortune by Turki need to turn up, perform, entertain and the punters will be there. No one rally wants to watch the likes of Haney, Stevenson ( great fighter though he is ) and late career Canelo and Mayweather get massively recompensed for the minimum of effort.

You're not wrong that they were both garbage and deserved nothing, but I'm one of the people who felt Walsh did actual negative work for many of those rounds, and would have lost them to an aggressive heavy bag on wheels. I find a win pretty hard to find under those circumstances.
