What do you want to see from Itauma against Franklin?

Franklin took some pretty big shots from Joshua and didn't really look bothered at any point. Do you think Itauma has the power to take him out early? I'd be very impressed if he does. I think this goes the distance, and Itauma wins, but gasses down the stretch, and then there'll be a load of threads on here saying he's useless and overrated.

    Hopefully...

Franklin's certainly durable, if not much else - so we should hopefully see some rounds.
Even if Franklin throws his best and lands it, it'd only really prove that Itauma isn't packing grade A (for Amir) china.

In that sense it probably answers one question much better than the other, but it's still a pretty mediocre journeyman fight - even if it answers a question to some extent, it's still a long way to the top.

I think you're probably spot on with this...

And whilst that would (potentially) suggest he's one of those fighters who almost needs a KO to win any tough fights, it doesn't necessarily make him useless as long as he's got a decent chin (which is the other big thing we don't really know yet).

At the same time... It would mean those narratives that he's unstoppable and probably rules the next era with an iron fist were absolutely overrating him.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Still plenty to learn about him, and he's got time to learn and improve, too - let's hope this fight at least hints at some answers in a way previous ones haven't!

I think his speed and shot selection will surprise Franklin. AJ has sledgehammer punches, Itauma’s are crisper like a taser. I hope Moses gets rounds in, but from what I’ve seen I think this is over in 3 or 4

The main question marks around Moses Itauma do not get answered with this fight.

Does he have a decent beard on him and does he have the stamina on him to go the distance.

Franklin could not break an egg with a sledgehammer, and he fights at a slow pace.

Itauma needs to step it up and face someone like Wardley, Dubois, or Kabayel.

Fights like this are good if he has nothing else on but this is the 3rd easy one he has had in a row, after the impressive win vs McKean.

Whoa. Steady on you want to put him in with the best of the division now?
He's had 13 fights some which have barely been a fight. Franklin should on past performances give him rounds. Moses hasn't been past 6 rounds yet lets give the kid a break. He looks, sharp, accurate but he's not fighting these super heavys yet. If he gets rid of Franklin before the first half of the fight is over then he could do with someone else to get the rounds in. He's not taken a punch yet at lest let him prepare properly before Wardley or DD try and take his head off.

I would like to see Itauma take his time and systematically break Franklin down; at present all you can say about Itauma is that he is quick, accurate and powerful, and in every fight I've seen of his he comes out guns blazing and blitzes his opponents in short order. This is all very well and good, until he comes up against an opponent who can stand up to his onslaught, in which case Itauma will have to go into the later rounds breathing out of his arse.

We won't see anything again, he'll KO Franklin in 1.

When the main question is will Franklin be able to go some rounds then you know he’s no threat whatsoever to itauma. I would love to see Franklin connect a few times a test his chin but I can’t even see that happening . I think itauma will come out with the plan of maybe getting 4 or 5 rounds in but it’s going to be so easy for him once he connects that he won’t be able to resist taking him out in 1 or 2 rounds

The hype will go into overdrive post fight when that happens

Franklin doesn't come to lie down he's not a puncher but he does have decent volume so he should hopefully push Ituma back and that's what he needs. It's often difficult to match guys who can punch as they just blow people away without getting tested. Look at someone like David Haye blew people out - the first guy who could take his power beat him.. had to regroup and pace himself.

Have you never seen Jermaine Franklin fight? Very doubtful Itauma stops him. That's why he's there, Franklin won't outbox him but he
    will definitely give him rounds.

Franklin is a gatekeeper at best. But can see Franklin giving Itauma rounds and frustrating him.

    Completely agree.

Franklin is not the fighter to ask questions of Itauma. And Itauma needs to certainly be more active at least.

    Gatekeeper?! That's outrageously generous...
